Remember those window treatments I blogged about the other day?

Well, part of our 2012 DIY Blog Squad duties involved trying out a new tool from True Value, and since we used it to put those window blinds up, I thought this would be a good time to blog about it. It’s called the Swift Driver, and it’s made by Master Mechanic…

We recorded a little video to show how much easier it made the un-fun task of hanging blinds…
Pretty handy dandy, eh?
To be honest, when we first got it, we were sort of thinking it was just going to be one more unused tool in our already jam-packed, mess of a tool room. But we’ve used it several times since the day we hung the blinds, and we’re thinking we can probably just get rid of the 8 million regular screwdrivers we have laying around because this thing works so much better than they do.
Which gives me an idea. (Literally just hit my brain as I am typing this.)
Kev! Let’s give away a couple of Swift Drivers! (I just yelled that to him from my desk.)
(He just responded, “Okay!”)

Looks like something to be used time and time again… think I would use it more than my battery powered baby drill!!
Cool! I bet my husband or son would be interested in that! Who can’t use a cool gadget? This might unknowingly be going on their Christmas lists!
Thanks!
That tool would really come in handy! Just hung new rods by myself and boy what a pain that was!!!

That is too cool! I can’t tell you how any brackets in my home are missing a screw due to that weird angle. Thanks for demonstrating, Kev!
All the functions of a regular screwdriver in one versatile tool. Would love to win one for my many projects. Judy
Cool! I’d love to try that out. 🙂

Hmmm… this looks like something that would make Husband drool.
Oh, I think I like it, too!!! Thanks for a great giveaway!
I love your ideas and finished projects! I could really use this tool. I do all the fix-it/DIY projects at home and this would make it soooo much easier!
My husband is much too “busy” to handle the little annoying things around here. My own electronic toy would be just the thing to help me get the jobs done.
That looks awesome! We could get rid of a whole drawer of screwdrivers if we had one.
Aren’t you two the cutest, like evah! Seems like I’m always without a screwdriver in our house. This would be very handy!
OH WOW, I really NEED one of these. Considering I have a very small stash of tools and am always looking for new innnovative ones, this is GREAT.
Looks like a handy gadget! And probably a lot less tiring to use than my cordless drill/driver which weighs a ton after a few minutes.
Yes please!
Who couldn’t use one of these??
Great idea.
The Swift Driver looks awesome! I want one!
Thanks for the chance to win. Keep the good stuff coming.
Valerie
