Remember those window treatments I blogged about the other day?

Well, part of our 2012 DIY Blog Squad duties involved trying out a new tool from True Value, and since we used it to put those window blinds up, I thought this would be a good time to blog about it. It’s called the Swift Driver, and it’s made by Master Mechanic…

We recorded a little video to show how much easier it made the un-fun task of hanging blinds…
Pretty handy dandy, eh?
To be honest, when we first got it, we were sort of thinking it was just going to be one more unused tool in our already jam-packed, mess of a tool room. But we’ve used it several times since the day we hung the blinds, and we’re thinking we can probably just get rid of the 8 million regular screwdrivers we have laying around because this thing works so much better than they do.
Which gives me an idea. (Literally just hit my brain as I am typing this.)
Kev! Let’s give away a couple of Swift Drivers! (I just yelled that to him from my desk.)
(He just responded, “Okay!”)

You had me at, “we’re thinking we can probably just get rid of the 8 million regular screwdrivers.” This tool looks awesome!
Would love to win a magic tool. Thanks for hosting the giveaway. Love to read about all your adventures. Thanks.
Awesome! I’m re-doing my living room & my office/craft room and this would TOTALLY come in handy! 🙂
Love any time saving tool!
What a great tool. We would definitely put it to good use in our home.
What a great tool! (And I have two hard-to-buy-for birthdays coming up this week!) My question is, do you need a lot of hand strength like a regular screwdriver or does the turning motion help with that? If so, it truly is the perfect tool! Thanks for sharing!
Oobie -doobie. Sounds like a tool we could use!
I love your blog! This product looks super cool and will be so helpful on home repairs and projects.
hope i win this one!
sounds like a “gotta have it” tool … count me in!
Good idea Layla & Kev! I could really use a Swift Driver! I wouldn’t have to hunt for hubby’s tools…I’d have my own.
Looks very cool!
Awesome Giveaway! I want one!!!
Oh I will need this tool when we finish building my brother-in-laws carriage house! Lots of tiny nooks and crannies there in less than 900 sq. ft. !!
I’m thinkin’ this could be my screwdriver that stays in the kitchen drawer where I can find it. I’ll let him keep his thousands of other tools in his jam packed mess of a tool chest.
I’m recently new to following yall, but am thoroughly enjoying your posts so far. Thanks for the great info and nice pics. Great job!
This sounds so cool! My old ratchet screwdriver broke, i would love to try this one!
Ooh, we’d love to win one of these! Thanks for the chance!
oooo. I think I need one. It could definitely come in handy not only aroung the house, but also working on my re-use furniture projects.
I would LOVE one of these tools… 1) either my husband has taken mine to the garage because he can’t find his or 2) i have to wait for him to place a screw because his auto screwdriver is dead and i can’t push that hard with a manual!
Looks cool! Hope I win.
Looks really handy. Thanks for sharing guys.
What a neat tool! I really like that there is no wasted movement ~
My husband could really use the Swift Driver when he works on his cars. … always a strange angle going on!
Cool tool, it could really come in handy.
I think it’s a great tool….I could find tons of uses for it..!
Great tool! Love to have one!
My elbows and wrists are screaming at me to win one of these so my furniture/house fixing can get done sooner, rather than later. Here at Rhododendron Cottage, there is much to do before I can turn to blogging. But it’s hard to wait for that day…….meantime, I watch and learn and fix and paint and so on…….y’all are helping me make a happy second half of my life as i follow my bliss…….thanks for sharing your knowledge…….
Looks like a great tool to have on hand for all of our upcoming projects.
My husband is a tool freak & such a wonderful handyman! He would love one of the Swift Drivers! It would be such a nice surprise for him!
I would love to have one of these tools. I feel it would be a great tool for a senior citizen to use because of it’s flexibility.
thank you for being so generous.

Yes, I want one! Thanks, you guys!

I’d love one of these bad boys!
I love that gooseneck thingy that Kevin used in the video! That is my kind of gadget, for sure! Very nice of you to be giving a couple of these away…no matter who wins, you rock!
Where was this tool when we installed 4 sets of blinds in each of 20 apartments? Clever tool.
Would love that!
My husband and I had to make 175 cables for new TV’s where he works, one of these (or two) would have the 2 – 9 hour days go much faster! AMAZING give away. Fingers crossed!!
Would love to have this handy tool!
Oooh! Pick me!! Pick me!! I’m dying to become more DIY! So tired of asking my husband to help me with every little project that pops into my head! This tool looks awesome 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
Would love this for my hubby!
Looks awesome! I need to replace a few blinds in this house before I move. That would be a big help!
