Remember those window treatments I blogged about the other day?

Well, part of our 2012 DIY Blog Squad duties involved trying out a new tool from True Value, and since we used it to put those window blinds up, I thought this would be a good time to blog about it. It’s called the Swift Driver, and it’s made by Master Mechanic…

We recorded a little video to show how much easier it made the un-fun task of hanging blinds…
Pretty handy dandy, eh?
To be honest, when we first got it, we were sort of thinking it was just going to be one more unused tool in our already jam-packed, mess of a tool room. But we’ve used it several times since the day we hung the blinds, and we’re thinking we can probably just get rid of the 8 million regular screwdrivers we have laying around because this thing works so much better than they do.
Which gives me an idea. (Literally just hit my brain as I am typing this.)
Kev! Let’s give away a couple of Swift Drivers! (I just yelled that to him from my desk.)
(He just responded, “Okay!”)

sounds great – I used to use a battery screwdriver but it was never charged!
I could have used one of those when I was putting the curtain rods up in my ‘Stone Cottage’ a couple of weeks ago. It’s not too late. If I don’t win one I will surely buy one.
Thanks!!
I’d love to win one!
I showed my husband Kevin’s great demonstration video and his comment was, ” That would be so helpful for us gray haired guys (my silver fox hubby) with old hand joints”. I hope we win, because I could add even more items to his honey-do-list with less guilt.
One of these would be awesome to have!
cool!!! i would love to win one
Looks like a great tool, it would be great to clean out the tool box!
This tool would come in handy, as we just bought a house and need to install blinds in every single window!
Love it! Need it!!!
After buying our first house last summer and living here for a year, we still don’t have it in the budget to buy cool new tools like this one. It would be great to win this and surprise my husband!
Neato! This would definitely come in handy!
I’m all for anything that helps me make my own tool stash AND helps me “help” my husband lose a few of his 😉
We just bought a fixer-upper, and I’m sure we’d put this to use! Thanks for the giveaway!
Ooh, what a great-looking tool. I can think of several projects where I could put it to good use. Thanks for the giveaway!

What a great tool. I am in the middle of a big remodel and this would sure help.
I want one! Would also love a blog post called workbench 101 or something like that, where you help us newbies to set up our space with proper fixtures/tools/etc to be prepared for most entry-level projects!
Ooooh Baby – You are singing my song! I am constantly doing home improvement projects and I would LOVE one of these!!! Thanks for the offer.
Would love to try one out! Thanks!
I’m coming in on this one a bit late, but loved the video and wanted to enter! I agree, this looks like it could replace a bunch of screwdrivers that we have squatting (not paying their way) in our tool room. 🙂
Hey guys! Love the look of the Swift Driver (the guy doing the demo is pretty darn cute too) and would love to win one (the Swift Driver, not the guy – already have one of those and Layla, I don’t think you’d wanna let him go anyway – LOL!) Have to say the new blinds look fantastic, as does the whole room, and I think YA’LL rock!
Loved the video. This little baby would have a wonderful home here in our tool bag! Thanks for the chance to win.
Love the way the office is shaping up! The curtains look great! I’d love to win any tool that makes hanging shades or blinds easier!

This tool looks really cool — I think my husband needs one, if he doesn’t I am always looking for gifts for the son-in-law, I think he needs one too! Helen
Would love this cool tool! Looks like it would come in really handy! And my hubby would probably like a new ‘toy’ – maybe we can knock out some of our to-do list sooner! 🙂

Can’t wait to try the Swift Driver out! I have blinds and curtain rods that need to be hung in 3 different rooms! Good excuse for a new tool, heh!?

Come August 1st, all three kids will be going to school, and I can start on a to-do list that would make your head spin. I need this tool. :0)
Pretty cool!! Love the 90 degree angle attachment!!
Genius tool! I’ve always hated hanging blinds because it’s so hard to use a screw driver in those tight places around windows. Thanks for sharing.
I probably could have used this when I hung a blind and 2 days later it fell on my husbands head…great “sorry” and birthday gift for him : )
Just bought a five-acre fixer-upper. Crazy how many project there are to do, but enjoying each and every one of them. Love the satisfaction of doing it ourselves…
Thanks for sharing all your great ideas with the rest of the world!
