This Tool Rocks (Swift Driver by Master Mechanic)

Jul 13, 2012 By Layla

Remember those window treatments I blogged about the other day?

Well, part of our 2012 DIY Blog Squad duties involved trying out a new tool from True Value, and since we used it to put those window blinds up, I thought this would be a good time to blog about it. It’s called the Swift Driver, and it’s made by Master Mechanic…

We recorded a little video to show how much easier it made the un-fun task of hanging blinds…

Pretty handy dandy, eh?

To be honest, when we first got it, we were sort of thinking it was just going to be one more unused tool in our already jam-packed, mess of a tool room. But we’ve used it several times since the day we hung the blinds, and we’re thinking we can probably just get rid of the 8 million regular screwdrivers we have laying around because this thing works so much better than they do.

Which gives me an idea. (Literally just hit my brain as I am typing this.)

Kev! Let’s give away a couple of Swift Drivers! (I just yelled that to him from my desk.)

(He just responded, “Okay!”)

So- if you’d like to enter for a chance to win one, just leave us a comment on this post (if you’re reading this in an email, you’ll have to click over to our blog to leave a comment) between now and Monday, July 16th (9am CST) and we’ll randomly select a couple of winners sometime after that. Good luck!

This post is part of our 2012 True Value DIY Blog Squad series.

I’d love to have one! My dad owned a true value most of my life and I grew up playing/working there – so I have a deeply rooted appreciation for master mechanic (they make really great stuff!) and True Value stores 😉

I LOVE it! I am so excited. What does it say about me that a darn TOOL makes me tell the computer “WOW! Look at that, look at that” ? Not some shoe sale or such, nope it is a tool!

Please tell Kevin his sound effects are great, lol! How much better can a tool demo be than one with perfect sound effects? 🙂
