5 Decorating Ideas For Your Home

Nov 17, 2017 By Layla

Happy Friday, y’all!

I know many of you joined me for the inaugural “HomeGoods Hump Day” this past Wednesday, but for those who couldn’t view the series, I saved the videos to my phone, sent them to my email inbox, downloaded them to my computer, edited them together in Adobe Premier, and uploaded the video to YouTube. Click the play button if you’d like to watch!

It was so much fun y’all!

I’m thinking I may switch it up and do “Hobby Lobby Hump Day” and “H&M Hump Day” sometimes since I love to wander around those places too. Either way, I’ll always try to put together a group of five ideas that are fun, affordable and easy to create no matter where you shop. Even if it’s your house! 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Layla

PS- Can you leave me a comment if you’d like me to post these on my blog every week? Like I mentioned above, it is a bit time consuming, but if there’s enough interest, I’m more than happy to include them! XO

I loved your ideas Layla! Please do it again, but not necessary to do every week. You do have a life. 😉

Home Goods, H&M, & Hobby Lobby are stores I like, but don’t get to very often. I like seeing their offerings through your eyes.

Love the decorating ideas! I never thought of doing plates/platters with decals/decorations to hang on the wall, this solves a problem I was having with a wall in my kitchen.

YES, for the love of all things decoratory (that’s not a real word) please post the videos on your blog! I still choose to live in the dark ages (can you say flip phone?) and can’t view the videos otherwise. Also, I could live vicariously through you as our HomeGoods closed several months back. When I got wind they were closing, I almost got down on the floor right there in the store and had myself a big ole fit. I came very, very close. Bitter…..it’s not a big enough word!!!

I loved this, and having it here is best for me. Sometimes I am not able to find time to look at Instagram ( and I’m finding it doesn’t always show me the most recent posts unless I visit the individuals’ page!) I have Chrome, and it’s limiting me. But I don’t know if you need to do every week….you have other things to do, I’m sure, just like the rest of us! I loved the platter you also liked, and your tips for the artwork comes in handy. Thanks!

Love the stories Layla. Maybe you could just do a post with photos of your tips along with inspiration photo of how/where to use them to cut down on your work.

Ps. I am in Australia & we don’t have those stores but I still get inspiration from you & the posts.
PPS. Those stores need to give you a job styling vignettes or paid demonstration days/nights in their store where you do these tips by shopping their store.

I loved them and would love it if you could do them every week, but then I love everything you do! You’re so adorable and fun to watch.

I finally figured out that the Instastories can only be watched on my phone and now I’m completely addicted.

Thank you for being such a cheerful part of my day.

Thank you, Kathy! Like I mentioned in the post, Instagram stories can be watched on computers now too. You just have to search the words “how to watch Instagram Stories on a computer” on Google to find the tutorials that explain how to do it. XO
