I haven’t done a “Vlog Vandredi” in a while, and since I have accumulated quite a large iPhone library full of clips of our Sonny in action, I thought I’d share a video of some of my favorites here today. Click the play button below if you’d like to watch…
He’s such a curious and vibrant little boy! Last week he was all about Bob the Builder and tractors, but this week he is absolutely hooked on helicopters and riding bike. Today, he saw a teeny tiny astronaut sticker which triggered a new fascination- space shuttles! He like to watch videos of them taking off and asks repeatedly if they can go under water too. 🙂 He also listened/danced to Tenth Avenue North’s “What You Want” ten times in a row this afternoon (he would’ve kept going if we hadn’t persuaded him to switch activities!) and he thanked God for Kit-Cat in his prayer before lunch. He is not a fan of Kit-Cat (and hasn’t met Max), so I’m hoping that prayer means he’s open to eventually being friends. 🙂
Another thing that cracks me up is when he talks about something that tastes good. Instead of saying it’s “yummy”, he says it’s “pa yucky”, which means it’s “not yucky”. So things are either “yucky” or “pa yucky”- ha! 😀
Alright. It’s almost midnight and this mama is pooped!
I should quickly mention though, that if you ordered one of our Pike Road Southern t-shirts in August, Kevin has all but 12 of them shipped out as of yesterday. It took a little longer to fold, package, and label them this time because of our trip to Haiti, and because, well, everything just seems to take us a little bit longer with our precious babe here now! 😀

Precious! So very happy for you all! We’ve been following you for years and what joy this has brought to us witnessing your joy! I look forward to seeing Steevenson playing with your four-legged family members. One of the greatest gifts to give a child is teaching them to love and care for cats and dogs and of course all of God’s creatures. Having pets is one of the best therapies for children. Steevenson is a lucky boy! Even my high-schoolers come home and first thing they do is gravitate towards hugging, petting or just talking to our Lily (dog) or one of our cats. They also volunteer for our local shelter and are involved in our spay-neuter program. Enough about me, many blessings to you all.

Oh my gosh – I am in love! As we say here in the south, “I could just eat him up!” I never knew how tired I could be it until I had my child, but it is the best kind of tired!! Enjoy these sweet days!

Oh my gosh. He is a bundle of energy and that’s how he should be. So engaging. Smart as a whip! Loved Loved Loved the video. You all really look and act like a family that’s always been together. Want to see more of him at play. Do you have any immediate plans to do something like a mother’s day out program? Wonder how he would do? And then there is always the kid’s classes at church too. Have a wonderful weekend family.

No immediate plans for him to attend a mother’s day out program. We will spend the next several weeks “cocooning” and working on bonding, acclimating, language, etc. He doesn’t want to be around children right now (although he enjoys watching them from afar), and we don’t want to thrust him into uncomfortable situations until he’s ready.
Streevenson loves guitar! ❤️ I can’t even imagine the challenges AND triumphs you are going through right now, but oh, how the Lord has blessed your family of 3! I have to be careful where I am when I look at your posts. I’m sure to get teary eyed with each one.

You got it Nancy! As soon as Kevin and I are able to print them ourselves (without the print shop’s assistance), we’ll be able to offer kids sizes. Right now, the print shop requires a minimum order that we haven’t ever been able to meet on those.

This touched me deep in my heart. Thanking God. Praying for him and you guys. Praying for Kap’s parents who loved him with all their hearts–are Christians. So I’ve been praying Kap is filled with the Holy Spirit pulling him back to realize he IS of value because God loves him so much He sent Jesus in Kap’s place. Weird but I guess I was thinking “family love so strong already” and he had that. So maybe you could join me in remembering to pray for him for he’s gotten mixed up. (He’s from my hometown but I left and his family were not from there). But I do know his close relative. And I guess I wondered Who is praying for him?
