Scenes From A Dining Room Recording Session

Aug 19, 2011 By Layla

Kev’s taking a stab at writing the theme song for our pilot episode this week. And although I think my semi-shy guy probably wanted to kick me under the table when I initially (and spontaneously) suggested it at one of our meetings with our production company in Denver, I can tell by his mood that he’s totally in his element and (regardless of whether or not it works out) is having fun with it.

He’s recording, and submitting, two ideas…

Song #1 looks like a face, and sounds like southern rock…

Song #2 looks like a 6.8 on the richter, and sounds like a perfect 10 to me!

Big thanks to our friend Josh for lugging all his recording gear over here yesterday!

And a BIG thanks to our neighbors kids for playing with Kev while their Mom and Dad went to a meeting at school last night, too.

He’s not used to having commercial break jam sessions with people who love to play guitar as much as he does…but I could tell by his mood, he really liked that too.

PS- I told my semi-shy hubby that I was just gonna snap some pics of him recording, but hee hee, I asked him to play me one of my favorite tunes and sneakily captured this little video yesterday too!

Love the photography! And my hubby is a guitar player, too. I love it when he plays around the house….when we dated, he would play Sweet Home Alabama and make me swoon. 🙂 Fun stuff!
