Last Friday was f-u-n, fun.
We rode up and down escalators…
…and ate Swedish meatballs and mashed pa-taters…
We tripped out on trays…
…and smiled at striped duvets…
We sipped tea on aisle four…
…and found lots of little goodies, all over the store…
We got hid our hands in our bags, and sang with invisible mics…
We ran into unbelievable prices that made me say “yikes!”
When we were done at Ikea, we headed over to Borders. We sat on the floor, and counted our quarters. (Not really….it just rhymed.)
We met lots of cool folks hanging out in the store…
…and I’ll never forget seeing this guy and his family stroll in through the door…
We had a blast chatting it up with the incomparable Miss Ree…
…and I had her sign an extra copy of her book, with love from TLC…

Sounds like y’all had a blast! I met Ree on Valentine’s Day in Dallas and she was so adorable! I ended up in the 5th wave of 100 people waiting to meet her, so it was about 11:45 p.m. by the time I got up there. She was so gracious and sweet – she had to be exhausted, but you sure couldn’t tell. It was worth the wait for sure! Whoever wins the book is in for a treat! 🙂

This makes me SO SAD!!! I live in Buckhead and when I saw SouthernRhoda and PIShaunna’s text I wanted to CRY!!! I live less than a mile from that Ikea and was thinking what I’d do if I ran into y’all!! I had to go to a wedding last Friday and wasn’t able to go to the Border’s PW (and all you fine ladies!) were at! I am SO sad! Isn’t IKEA great luckily it’s only a half hour trip for me so I go often. I like to take my family when they come to visit, I have mark off and entire day if I take my mom though.
