She fixed up another old house on the same island not long ago too. She named this one Ebb Tide:
I haven’t stayed at Ebb Tide yet, but man did we have a blast at Breeze Inn! Steevenson has been asking to go back to Tybee Island ever since our last trip there, so maybe we’ll give Ebb Tide a whirl next time.

We used to go to Sanibel Island every year. Now our favorite place is North Myrtle Beach

What a great relaxing photos. Well I need to relax and what better way but by the beach and with a great book. I have not been to a beach in North Carolina. Actually it has been some time since being on a vacation. A tine to relax is needed by all.
My husband and I love going to Henderson Park Inn in Destin, FL. It’s where we went for our honeymoon, and it’s the cutest little bed and breakfast right on the beach.
Love her books!! Beautiful island I grew up visiting during my childhood summers is Catalina Island, off the coast of Los Angeles. Lots of movies filmed there at one time.
We really don’t get away for vacations, but now Tybee Island is on my mind. I’m always looking for a good book to read. Hello from Minnesota.
We go to Catalina Island. 26 miles of the Long Beach Ca coast.. Its perfect!

I have never been to Tybee Island (we live in Michigan), but our go to every summer is Mackinac Island here in Michigan. There are no cars allowed on the island, so you have to take a ferry over and then either walk or bike around the island. They also offer horse carriage rides, etc. We love the escape (especially once you get off of the Main St. area.

Oh my! I’m envious of your Worlds Longest Yardsale weekend with friends, I’ve always wanted to do that but never quite made it. And what a talented friend you have. Clearly, she has a gift for writing great fiction (I loved the Weekenders!), but it seems that she is also a gifted decorator as well. Love the cottages on Tybee Island. Gulf Shores, on the Alabama Gulf Coast has been my destination of choice for years as my grandchildren live near there and I usually picked them up and took them with me. The Fort Morgan area is largely unspoiled, and West Beach in Gulf Shores is much less developed than other areas. If you’re ever in that area you should check those spots out in particular. Now that I’ve moved to that area, I need to branch out. I’m itching to take an extended road trip and go up the East Coast, Savannah, Charleston, etc. I will definitely have to plan for a day or two on Tybee Island as well.

I love Mary Kay’s books and really enjoyed seeing those adorable beach houses. I have always wanted to visit Tybee but haven’t had the chance yet. Definitely on my list now! Being from New Jersey, the Jersey shore is my favorite beach place to visit. But really, any beach is a piece of heaven!

I love Naples Beach although I have always wanted to go to Tybee. LOVE the shutter color and the floor color. Please pick me. I desperately need a beach vacation and maybe the book would substitute for a vacation I cannot take now.

Oh my! After months and months of renovating, I could use a good book to escape for awhile. I always love to read a new-to-me author!
I would love to read her book. I am an avid reader and always looking for a new author. Ok I have to visit her houses. I am new to the beach scene. I am over retirement age but we never did beach vacations. My daughter and I went to Hawaii two years ago and I was hooked. Last year we went to Myrtle Beach and I was even more hooked. I long for the ocean – the sights and sounds and breezes – all of it!!! I am in Nebraska so we don’t see much water or anything.
Love her beach cottages! We have a small condo in Cape Cod MA that we love to escape to! I know its far but I think you would it there…if you ever find yourself wanting to go there, your beautiful family is welcome to use our condo.

Have always loved the Georgia coast. Can’t go wrong with Savannah/Tybee, Jekyll, St. Simons. Any of the numerous books (historical or fiction) written about the areas make them come alive!

Growing up in Washington state, we visited beaches on the west coast. I now live in North Carolina and have visited beaches on the east coast. The coasts are quite different in many ways but the breathtaking views of Washington and Oregon coasts are like nothing to be seen on the east coast. My favorite place is Canon Beach, Oregon. There are several cozy places to stay within walking distance to Haystack Rock and the beautiful beaches! But for those of you on the east coast, the water isn’t warm!
I would love to visit Tybee Island…..it is on my list! Her old house makeovers are adorable. I am sure this book would be great to read!
HI..Today is my Birthday so I am staying 39 again!!..I have children 40 +43 and 5 grandchildren!!Love the cover of this book!!..We live on Cape Cod and there are beautiful beaches here!!..Also recommend York and Ogunquit beaches in Southern Maine,Plenty of fun activities in the area for Steevenson and you next little blessing to come!!!….Visited Tybee Island once for a weekend when we were in Savannah, Georgia!!!Cute area!!
