Hardwoods

Mar 5, 2011 By Layla

Hi. We’re Kevin and Layla- but this week, you can call us Dusty and Sandy.

We rented a big, powerful toy to sand back our hardwood floor with, and so far, Operation: Shop-vac has been the best part. Here’s a little video footage of our first, dusty day…

(Click here to view the video on YouTube)

Next up, the edge sander…

…and some kind of spa treatment for two.

To be continued…

You are so funny! We are doing the same thing to our stairs. So much dust!!! ugh.
Did you say you were leaving it natural and just sealing it?

Or will you stain it again?

    Just curious.

Your walls look just like mine! My house is about 80 years old and we loved the old wood so just painted it. We too are going to refinish our hardwood floor soon. So thanks for any tips!

How much do floor sander rentals cost? I have hard wood floors throughout my entire home that we did entirely by hand sander. It’s about time to do them again & dread the thought of it taking so long…again.
Thanks in advance for the info. 🙂
