Hello! Each Wednesday I share some of the photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling Instagram the previous week, and y’all, did I hit the AirBnB jackpot this time! It started with this photo in @WhitneyLeighMorris‘ feed:
I *had* to know more about this little place she was staying in. I clicked on one of her hashtags, and a little Googling led me to this AirBnB page, where I found these pics of the exterior:
Turns out, it’s a guest house that’s a smaller version of the larger craftsman style home at the front of the yard. They have an Instagram feed too: @Craftsman.Mini.Me.
I love all that white and wood and GREEN! And do you see the cute “washroom” sign in the upper right hand corner of that pic?
It’s on a door that leads to the shower/restroom area.
…and this one is from @Craftsman.Mini.Me‘s Insta-feed:
(Their caption mentioned those photos are in Apartment Therapy’s “Complete and Happy Home” book.)
Last but not least, here are a few more photos of the living area. It looks like some of the bedding and furniture has changed since these photos were taken, but they show how all the areas are laid out:
Dear California friends: please go stay in this place for a night or two and FaceTime me while you’re there so I can live vicariously through you. Dear local friend Laura: I think that old building in your backyard wants to be one of these! 😉

Oh gosh! If only something that lovely were possible in Manitoba! We spend so much time in snow and cold (or battling mosquitoes) this just would not work in our climate 🙁
Or you’d have to have half the amount of windows, insulate the snot out of it, use fake greenery, and have screen doors everywhere (and on windows) or you’d be eaten alive (in summer).
Thank you for posting something so green and beautiful and green and lush and green… Come on spring! Come find us in central Canada!!!! I heart flowers and green things. 🙂
I just noticed your e-zine. Thanks for such wonderful read.
I have the plant that is growing all over the walls in these photos growing in my backyard and it is a nightmare to maintain! I wouldn’t be able to stay there. I’d be too stressed out because I know, from experience, how much work that awful plant (creeping fig) requires. Yeez.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful place.
How beautiful! That’s literally a half hour away from where I live. However, the thought of creepy crawly bugs inside makes me a little too nervous to sleep and take a shower in a house like that. But it sure is dreamy!
We keep the interior very pruned and actually use a shop vac on the walls. It removes all the dead leaves as well as anything else…
Wow…it feels like California… It is lovely…I am feeling a little homesick..will try to check it out when we visit..my husband would love it.
Dreamy *all the heart eyes*
