Happy Monday! We’re all done with our master bedroom makeover!
Just kidding. 😉 That’s a bedroom we photographed while we were on Tybee Island in Georgia last month. The house, named Sundew Cottage, had been recently renovated and decorated by my sweet friend, Jane Coslick and the whole place felt like a great big breath of fresh air! The master bedroom is through a set of double doors at the top of a staircase:
Here are a couple more shots of the room:
So fresh and airy!
There’s a second master directly below that bedroom too. Kevin and I got to sleep in this one the night we were there:
I love the white planked walls, wood floors, galvanized ceiling fan, black iron bed, and pops of colors.
The palette in our master bedroom might be slightly different, but I’m excited to freshen things up like those rooms, for sure. I’m thinkin’ “farmhouse fresh by the lake”. Kind of like this…
…but different. 😉

One of my all time favorite bedroom inspirations is your guest room in your old house, I pinned it on Pinterest and “visit” it often!! The ticking bedding, the oar above the window, all the amazing pillows, the boat beside the bed……
Can’t wait to see what you do here! ~Kim
The photo you refer to as “farmhouse fresh” is one of my go to inspirational photos. Can’t wait to see your version of it. Love everything you have done in your home’s so far. Keep inspiring me!
YES YES YES. What Jane can do with white and some pops of joyful color is such a gift! She has been my favorite for many years and is the reason that this New York island girl found Tybee, my happy place. Looking forward to what you decide.
You got me on being done with your master bedroom. I just thought to myself, wow, they were very busy over the weekend. I always enjoy your blogs. can’t wait to see your bedroom done!!! and can’t wait for your Sweet-Pea to come to the states!!!
I’ve pinned that pic of your inspiration photo, and find myself looking at it often over time. I can’t wait to see where you go with it!
Galvanized ceiling fan? Whhhaaattt? Love these rooms, can’t wait to see what you do!
So fresh and “springy” 🙂

Thank you, Janie! 😀 XO
Gorgeous! I love the bright colors with the white – it makes the whole room look so inviting and sunny. Thanks for the inspiration!
So nice..and I like the inspiration for your bedroom.
Got me with that first line! I’m like – “how can that happen so fast?” !!! 🙂
Love Jane’s decor, her pops of color are great. And I wait with bated breath to see “farmhouse at the lake”.
Saw the skid arrived at your house for the barn. Wish we were to that point, but still waiting for permits. :-/ We too started our adventure in November. Maybe this week?? Who knows; we don’t!
Farmhouse fresh by the lake – how perfect! Can’t wait to see what loveliness you come up with : )
I don’t know what it is but that green in a white room I am just SWOONING over. I guess it might be my obsession with white everything hehe. P.s that place looks so peaceful <3

It looks so inviting!Gorgeous! I wish I had your skills, that’s one thing I hate about myself, the lack of confidence and craftiness. I only end up paying. I always wanted to learn and I am very willing to learn because I like it and I love it.
