Hello!
I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving yesterday! Our was so sweet and I’m feeling very thankful for the opportunity to do life with these folks today:
We ordered from Honey Baked Ham this year because our experience with them last Thanksgiving was so good. This year, we got their beef brisket, a 1/2 ham, Tuscan-style broccoli, cheesy potato au gratin, maple sweet potato souffle, and added a few dishes and desserts of our own, and OHMYGOODNESS…we all just mmmmm-ed our way through the meal!
I’m not partnered with their company and this isn’t an ad for their service or their food. Just an honest and enthusiastic recommendation for anybody who might want or need to take a break from cooking at some point. Yes, it cost a little more than it would have to make it all here at home, but the foods were SO delicious, a few of us are under the weather (Kevin’s mom and Steevenson) and we’ve got LOTS of leftovers, so, for us, it was definitely worth the investment.
Everybody is lounging today. I’m online doing a little Black Friday shopping from the couch right now too. Wanna see what I’ve scooped up?
I’ve been waiting to get a new set of these :
I’ve had the same set of three for at least a decade now and although they’ve held up extremely well, it was time to get some new ones. I used code BLACKFRIDAY to take advantage of their 25% + free shipping sale.
I also scooped up two of these while they’re marked down for a limited time:
I have a few more of Pottery Barn’s mini evergreen trees in different styles, but I hadn’t seen this particular one until this year. I love decorating with them at Christmastime, so I thought I’d add this style into the mix this year.
I’m going to have to tell my Kevin’s mom not to read my blog today because I also got one of these TCL Roku Smart TVs while they were on sale today too:
They come highly recommended and Katie has been wanting to upgrade from her old (non-smart) TV, and you can’t beat the price, so it seems like a great time to grab one. Shhhh! 😉
I’ll have to make sure Kevin doesn’t swing by today either because I’m also happy to (secretly) share that this Opal Nugget Ice Maker is what he’s going find under the Christmas tree from me this year:
I can’t tell you how many people have recommended that particular one to me, so I’m grateful for all the advice that pointed me straight to it. He LOVES this type of ice, but he doesn’t know about this machine, so he is going to be so surprised and pumped!
Off to soak up a few episodes of ‘Escape to the Country’. I found season 18 last night and WOW…episode 1 was SO good!

We had Honey Baked smoked turkey breast and their awesome spiral sliced ham, plus homemade sides and dessert for Thanksgiving. You can’t beat Honeybaked for their meat – sooo good! Sounds like we might need to try some side from there too! 🧡🧡🧡
Katie and Kevin are in for some wonderful gifts this year! Good job on your shopping! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Make sure you get the water tank and the filter when ordering the ice machine. I looked for months and the Opal one was the best price. It’s just like Chic fil a ice.

Where do you watch Escape to the Country? I can’t find it.😱

Watch the front porch…the Opal comes in the original box, no brown cardboard. I came home before my husband and my birthday surprise was ruined, you can’t miss it sitting there. I love my machine (when it works).
