“Cats never strike a pose that isn’t photogenic.” ~Lillian Jackson Braun

“The ideal of calm exists in a sitting cat.” ~Jules Reynard
Kevin and I photographed some Thanksgiving-themed place card ideas for HGTV.com this week, and even though I had just started pulling things together in that last pic, I just had to snap a pic when I came around the corner and saw Kit-Cat curled up in the bun basket. I texted the pic to my BFF/neighbor and she jokingly replied, “Remind me not to eat the bread next time we come over for dinner!”
Happy weekend to you and your cuddle-uppers!

Kinda makes this dog lover want to get a kitten!
Kit-Cat looks very welcoming. Just serve rolls in a different basket. 😉
Tell your neighbor ‘everything tastes better with a little cat hair in it!’ It’s so funny the places they choose to squeeze into!
BTW, I’m anxiously awaiting the airstone fireplace reveal! I saw them at Lowes last year and have been thinking about useing them on our tv wall. I can’t wait to see what you think about working with them!
Pure adorableness. I bet you are so glad that little cat found his way to you. He seems very entertaining.
Awwww, what a sweetie pie! I’ll go cuddle up with my kitty now 🙂 Happy weekend!!
I absolutely adore both of those pics. I will be showing those to my husband this evening, so he will see it’s not just our kitten that likes to get into everything!
I love him sleeping in the basket. Years ago, we had a basket that we kept napkins in on our counter. Used to find our cat snuggled up and snoozing in that basket. Naughty naughty. 🙂
So sweet! My boys would never be able to fit their buns in a basket that dainty…although they would still try!
I love reading your blog posts, but my favorite ones involve your kitties. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I love the one in the guitar case – those eyes!
Those pictures are marvelous. And I do agree with Reynard … and your BFF !! 😀
My hubs is allergic to cats (boo-hoo), so I LOVE seeing your pictures of Kit-Cat! So cute!
Such a cute picture… both of them
Layla, oh how cute!! Your little Kitcat makes me miss my cat Willie!! I just love cats. Your new place is really taking shape and I am excited to see more as you get it transformed into YOUR place. Prayers continue for you and your adoption journey. So excited for you!! Thanks for sharing, sweet girl. Blessings, Linda
Beautiful pictures!
Oh so good to see Kit-Cat! That just makes my day! Ya’ll have a wonderful weekend. Sending you hugs Kit-Cat.
So cute! This is something my own cat would do! He loves to squeeze himself into the smallest boxes and baskets.
Kit-Kat is very photogenic. I guess he thinks so too since he tried to get in on the Thanksgiving photos.
Love, love, love!!!! So adorable.
Love that Kit-Cat!!!! He sure loves the camera and the cat person that I am, I love seeing all the crazy things he does!!
The first pic is awesome, you must frame that one!
Aw – so stinkin’ cute. I love how kitties like to find little cozy spaces (a box, is our cat’s favorite) and just set up shop 🙂
Hahaha…a little hairy bread won’t hurt!!! 🙂
That’s so what I love about cats. They love squeeeeeeezing their little furry bodies into the tinest spaces. Kit-Cat’s adorable! LOVE the guitar case pic. It should be on the front of a greeting card…you guys could so market your own cards with these pics!
Every time I see a Kit-Cat photo on your blog, I remember you first telling us about how you rescued him from harm but never planned on keeping him. He is just so precious! I have four kitty cuddle bugs at my own house (two which are attached to me as I sit in bed with my laptop, of course).
Cats will find anything “sit worthy” to sit in …even if it is half their size! Beautiful pictures!
Great pictures. While they eyes peeking out of the guitar case is precious, the cat napping in a bread basket in the middle of a set dinning table, is classic. I have got a few god picks of my own cats, but most of the cuter scenes are lost to history, as my cats tend to move as soon as I grab my camera.
