I love seeing Steevenson’s whole, precious face. Has anyone ever told you that he has such a grownup face? 🙂 What a handsome young man! I can hardly wait to see the homecoming pictures.

Blessings to you all while you “nest” and wait.

I had to write & say…Kevin & Steevenson look like each other in a way. It’s their smiles & eye expression. God does wonderful things. So happy for all of you. I love following your story!

I hope you think this is a cute as I did…. when I scrolled past the photo of your guys there was an ad just below it for orange juice with the words “freshly squeezed”.

… hopefully you will share those “freshly squeezed” homecoming photos with us!

I am so glad you decided to keep Steevenson’s given name, for the history and heritage that is attached to it. I know it’s a decision that all adoptive parents are faced with, I know most adoption handling agencies have their opinions, but really it’s ultimately up to you and your family. We have experience with this decision and the outcome, and can say that at least in our case our children appreciate having done that.

We have adopted all 4 of our children and retained 3 out of 4 their given first names, the 4th was a difficult mouthful with our family surname(s) but we did go with the 2nd letter to at least try to honour the original, and selected a Gaelic name the same as his 2 brothers. Each of their middle names and last names contain my husband’s and my surnames – that way each of them have a name that is given to them by their birth mother, me and my husband… each of the parents who are responsible for who they are.

Saweeeet!!! 😉 When my sister adopted her daughter, she wanted an “A” name like her 3 new brothers. She wanted “Anastasia”. They settled on Alisia, and her original first name became her middle name. Almost 20 years later, I still remember the first time I saw her, and fell in love. Can’t wait for the picture of your family of 3 at HOME!

I saw this on etsy and thought of you since you’re always calling him “Sonny” 🙂 https://www.etsy.com/listing/221999016/vintage-sonny-boys-leather-belt-with?ref=cat_gallery_21&ga_section_id=16668625&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Each time that I look at father & son, tears flow. That picture says it all – complete love.
