Hello! Each Wednesday I share some of the photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling Instagram the previous week. Here they are, in no particular order! 🙂
Those mismatched chairs! That wallpaper! That armoire! Those doilies! Aaaaahhhhh! 😀
Is that gorgeous?! Kriste, who works with Miss Mustard Seed, hand-painted it. You can see more pics of it here! The Hand Painted Landscape Dresser

Here’s a link to her blog post all about it: Cottage Bathroom Reveal . So pretty!
Oh my goodness, ,y’all. I love so many things about this house! Especially the living room, which you can find more photos of here: Mapleton New Build Living Room

What a great and affordable way to spruce up an old brick fireplace! You can find lots more pretty pics of interiors designed by Ashley Winn here: Ashley Winn Design
I looooove the paint color on those cabinets! Especially mixed with the brass fixtures, and white & gray marble. Yum! I couldn’t find where she listed the name of that color anywhere in the comments though. Anybody got a guess? It reminds me of the “Coastal Plain” (by Sherwin-Williams) on our secretary…
…but it looks a little dustier than that. I’d love to hear if you know of a similar color. Maybe we can use it in the Bungalow Barn! Oh, that reminds me: the builder’s crew still hasn’t been by to break ground, but the temporary power is up, and we’re hoping to hear someone digging back there any day now!
Great new people to foloow! Thank you!
Beautiful spaces! My guess for that color would be sea salt by SW.
I think Sea Salt leans a little more blue than green, Logan. Oh how I love that color too though! 😀
We have a color like that it our laundry room. I picked it out based on old, original paint from our basement stairs, and the closest match was Saybrook Sage from Benjamin Moore. It’s part of their historic paint colors, and it is a great fit in our old house. It makes me happy to be in our laundry room!
HI Layla, have loved your blog for many years but the ads are making it so hard to see. The blog seems to be a tiny sliver in the middle of the page and it’s just hard to see. I find myself just leaving rather than hassle with trying to understand what you’re trying to say. I just wanted to share with you because I have loved this as a regular stop for me. Any way to make the column on the left less wide? Thanks. Kate
Hi Kate! Thank you for visiting me! 😀
Can you tell me what kind of device you’re viewing it on? That will help me to understand why it may be displaying differently for you! XO
Oh thank you, thank you, thank you – you gem of a lady!!
Please post it when you locate it?
Love the hand-painted dresser
Hi Layla,
I love your blog!
I am using an i pad and phone and cannot see the pictures of this post.
Any fixes?
Thanks!
S
Hi Sandra!
I’m not sure why they wouldn’t be displaying. ? :-/
Can you see them if you pull it up on a computer using the same internet connection?
Good morning! Thank you for sharing and I look forward to your post’s. Have a great day!
Stunning! The dresser with a painting on it – now I’ve GOT to do that with a piece of furniture. It’s way too adorable not to try.
Can I ask why you repainted the secretary in SW paint? I thought it was milk paint.
Sure, Megan! I repainted it because I decided to go with a different shade of green. 🙂
Layla,
I believe the color is SW Oyster Bay….please visit this link:
