Today’s the day! The first day of our road trip through the Midwest. We’re looking forward to winding our way up through Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa and on to my Uncle and Aunt’s house in Minnesota.
Which reminds me, have you seen the My North series on Minneapolis-St.Paul Magazine’s website? I love watching the videos so much! Here are two of my favorites…and I think you’ll enjoy them even if you aren’t from my home state:

I love that Genevieve said that “lakes are a language” and she’s right about the “birch tickle”. I look forward to hearing it again very soon! I’ll take lots of photos so I can share stories about our adventure here when we get back!

If you have never been to Duluth, and up the Minnesota North shore, you are in for a wonderful vacation. It’s absolutely beautiful and so much to do.

While traveling thru Kentucky, If you need a place to stretch your legs…you are welcome to stretch them under our table for a warm home cooked meal. Welcome home! Amy Theilen talks about Park Rapids, that’s where I do my grocery shopping. The seasons are beautiful, so true about everyone cooking the same. Now it’s Danish apple bars and pumpkin everything, and even when not a potluck, you can bring a dish to try. This isn’t normal? 😃 Have a great trip!
