Simple, Neutral Fall Mantel Inspiration

Sep 11, 2017 By Layla

Happy September, y’all!

I’m hosting a Fall-themed blog hop with some blog friends this week, and we’re kicking things off with our Fall mantel today.

I went with a collection of pumpkins, candles, and some lantern spray branches from Joann Fabrics on the mantel beam, and our House of Belonging sign on the wall above.

I’ve had the jug the branches are in for a while. Seems like it came from Creative Co-op? I picked up the birch logs on Etsy a few years back, and the basket they’re in also came from Joann Fabrics.

I loooove that wheat pumpkin. It came from Joann’s, too. It’s not fun to touch (why does wheat feel so weird?), but man am I crazy about that color and texture! I found the teeny tiny pumpkins in the Dollar Spot at Target and this glittery one came from Walmart:

It’s a simple set up, but I’ve been trying to “hush the house” lately, so it’s just what this mama ordered. 😉

Tomorrow, (Tuesday) Beth from Home Stories A to Z is sharing a Fall tablescape ideas post, and on Wednesday, Michael from Inspired by Charm is will be sharing a Fall recipe. On Thursday, Lucy from Craftberry Bush will share a fun Fall craft and Rachel from Shades of Blue Interiors will wrap things up on Friday with a Fall decorating post.

I hope you enjoy all their fun posts, and that your September is off to a great start!

After a usually activity filled summer, Fall feels like the perfect time time to hush the house. Neutrals with textures is a great start to the season – love it.

Love your mantel! I bought “neutral” pumpkins last year from Target’s Dollar Spot paired with a small wooden tray from Magnolia. So perfect for my table center piece.

I love the idea of “hush your house.” I need to do that desperately!

I too have gone with a quieter pallet for Fall. I have added in some black to the white and natural mix. And I must admit, I am loving the felt fabric pumpkins I discovered this year. Didn’t see any wheat ones tho. Darn it! Your mantel is perfect as always. Love your style.

I love the basket! I almost bought it yesterday. However, I bought some papermache pumpkins instead. They are going to be awesome concrete pumpkins! 😉

I love this simple mantel Layla, but what I am more obsessed with is your phrase “hush the house” — I LOVE this and I am doing the same thing! I have purged enough to supply Goodwill for about 6 months! It feels soooooo good! 🙂
