Room Inspiration – Kristin Alber Style

Jan 27, 2012 By Layla

I stumbled onto a home tour online a couple of weeks ago, that instantly had me scooting my chair up closer to my monitor. There were so many little details I wanted to lock in my brain! The house is located in Mesa, Arizona and belongs to a sweet gal named Kristin Alber. Check it out…

When asked about her personal style in a recent interview, Kristin said, “We’re definitely go-with-the-flow kind of people. We like to repaint, switch out decorations, and mix things up a bit. It’s fun for us.“ My kinda people!

She also mentioned that they try to find pieces that are special and can fit several different styles. Love that!

Kristin and her husband, Dan, own two retail shops in Mesa- Domestic Bliss and Found.

Anybody up for a road trip?

I love that she has a variety of plants throughout her home. They make everything looks so fresh and alive. It’s one of my favorite ways to bring life to a room. AND- love their sense of style~ gorgeous home!

I felt like I just went “home” looking at those pictures. My home is far from that, and I just realized that would be a bit of heaven on earth to live in that home.

This is the most gorgeous home I have ever seen. As soon as I saw the first two pictures I thought how much it reminded me of FOUND which I had seen in the magazine “Where Women Create”. I should have known it was her home! Stunning!

Swooooooonnn….I love all the wood in their house, especially the headboard which looks custom….So how do we recreate that finish on wood furniture pieces we would like to redo?

Adore her bath vanity. I don’t care for basin style sinks normally because I don’t think they are practical (I have to wash my hands at a very awkward angle), but that one is incorporated more into the vanity. Very cool.
