I stumbled onto a home tour online a couple of weeks ago, that instantly had me scooting my chair up closer to my monitor. There were so many little details I wanted to lock in my brain! The house is located in Mesa, Arizona and belongs to a sweet gal named Kristin Alber. Check it out…

When asked about her personal style in a recent interview, Kristin said, “We’re definitely go-with-the-flow kind of people. We like to repaint, switch out decorations, and mix things up a bit. It’s fun for us.“ My kinda people!

She also mentioned that they try to find pieces that are special and can fit several different styles. Love that!

I DIE. TWICE. LOVE this Layla, Lady! Great find!!! ;}
Oh my. This is superb!!!
Wow! That is an inspiring space! I’m going to be redecorating my office in the near future and I love the seating with extra storage under the window. May have to use that! Thanks for sharing this. 🙂
Gorgeous room. I especially love the slipcovered wing chair. I’m collecting slipcover ideas over at Pinterest, too. Thanks for highlighting this room!
Love all the ways they used reclaimed wood throughout that place. Gives a great sense of life and history.
I’m up for a road trip!! That headboard, oh my!!
I’m ready to go. I’ll pick you up. I live in Prattville.
Do you think we could move in…and maybe they wouldn’t notice that we were there????
Thank you….. thank you for the “eye” candy!
Ohhhh. Love this!
SO many great ideas!…where’s my notebook!?!!
Oh my gosh……my eyes opened BIG and went on overload. How I would love to spend a week at her house………..
I love her lack of real color, except in choice spots……………….just divine.
I loved the kitchen sink area………………that was my very favorite spot!
Thanks for finding this one Layla!
I just stumbled upon “Found” the other day while looking through blogs, I suppose… absolutely stunning! I wish we had a store similar to that here!
I died when I saw these pictures. Her house is beautiful and I love her style!!!
I cannot believe that this Ouse is in Mesa, mostly due to the lack of popcorny/stucco interior walls and bland desert paint colors. It’s gorgeous.
Such LOVELY spaces! No detail was overlooked in that home, such an inspiration!
LOVE this house! These photos make me want to recover and rearrange everything!
I want to live there. Loved every single detail! 🙂
Wow!! What great style!! Inspired. Thanks for sharing!
I want to take a trip to Mesa, Arizona, more than anything in the world after viewing her work. OMG, her shop “Found” looks amazing!
Thanks for the inspiration!
OMG…I want to “pin” every bit of this! If I didn’t have a five year old boy, this would be exactly what I want in my house. I could still incorporate this “style” though. Thanks for sharing, Layla.
ADORE the headboard!
Kristen does indeed have amazing style and is just a lovely person overall. Amazingly enough just a few short years ago her house was awash in bright pinks, turquoise and yellow. A road trip would indeed be worth it.
You guys can come to Arizona any ol’ time!! Since you did my virtual consultation, I’ve done, and re-done my great room, and am getting ready to do more…like take my cabinets down and put up open shelving in my kitchen…..paint the cabinets that are left white….and all kinds of crazy things!! 🙂 Love making my new house look old!
Be still my heart! thanks for sharing and have a fabulous weekend!
XO
Kristin
Oh my gosh! That is 20 minutes from my house! I am soooo headed to their shops this week 🙂
ohmygoshilovethis!!! Count me in on a road trip! lol And thank you Layla for the info on the laminate countertops. I looked at their website (via the link you provided) and was so impressed. My husband and I are going to check it out at Lowes this weekend 🙂
Have a great weekend!

I wish I was brave enough to do this to my house. I have no home style whatsoever, and this is awesome.
Gorgeous place. So much to look at yet so calm and peaceful. Thanks for sharing this gem Layla!
Just amazingly gorgeous….she is very talented! Thanks for sharing this Layla—I will definitely be visiting her blogs!
Thanks for the eye candy and inspiration, as always!!! 🙂
*THUD* The bathroom vanity … no words …
Thank you Layla – another blog to enjoy daily alongside of yours!!
Pam
I think I just pinned every.single.photograph on Pinterest….
Ok, may I just say, I want to be her. Or you. Either way is fine!
But seriously, I have been trying forever to locate slipcovers that fit. Preferably white, that I can bleach, or those great linen looks like in this post. Any tips desperately appreciated — Sure Fit just won’t cut it. And though I can sew, I am just not up for the task.
Thanks!
OMG – love the dominoes and the salt & pepper shakers!! This is my kinda home.
Oh. My. Goodness. Glorious!
I’ll meet you in Mesa! Jaw-droppingly gorgeous. As are your posts! Will put her shops on my to-do list for next trip to Mesa.
I may have just died and gone to interior design heaven on this one. I have been searching & exploring for the best way to incorporate the perfect marriage of all the styles I love. We will be completely remodeling our new home soon & this captures everything I love. Casual, elegant, modern, vintage, country cottage. Beautiful find Layla!!! That kitchen…I die for that kitchen and bedroom.
I can see why that got your attention! I’m in awe. Off to check out the blog links. Have a great weekend!
I love this house! The unfinished wood headboard is my favorite, it is so interesting. Great post! I also like the neautral pallet, I have been suggesting this a lot laterly with some of my own clients.
Just stunning!! Thanks for sharing! I wonder if there is anyway to get her paint colors that she used in her living room and her master bedroom? Love those!
Hi Erica
Thank you!
The paint colors in the Bedroom are Sherwin Williams Functional Gray and Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige.
Thanks,
Kristin
Hi Kristin, I absolutley love your home and style, WOW!. Can you please tell us the paint color in the living room?
Thank you!!

You can find her paint colors there! 🙂
WHOA!!! Hold on there… I have to back for another look. FANTASTIC!!
I loved EVERY SINGLE picture in this post, Layla! This is by far one of my favorite homes I’ve sen in the blog-o-sphere. Great job on finding this one, friend. I’m gonna have a pin-fest in a minute. And, yes, whenever you want to make that road trip to Mesa, stop by Birmingham and pick me up 😉
I pinned that picture of the foyer with the double chest of drawers a while back….LOVE IT! It was so fun to see the rest of the house! Bye for now, I’ve got more pinning to do!
wow beautiful. I feel a little jealous, because I’m sure she can just bring items from her store and use them in her house. Why didnt I think of that…free shopping!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! What a find!
Her house is beautiful! I love the area with all the chest of drawers and artwork above it. Oh, to gave that kind of storage space.
Sometimes you just get to witness…Perfection. I love everything about this home. Thank you!
Jake’s a Girl.
Thanks for showing this, Layla! It’s right in my backyard! For me it will be a super short road trip–yay!
Blessings,
Sindy =)
Anyone have a tissue? I think I just drooled a bit.
And where do all those natural wood pieces come from? Do they buy finished pieces and strip them?
I wanna know that too!! I LOVE that look.
Hi Lisa & Haley,
Most of the natural wood/ reclaimed wood pieces come from various manufacturers that we carry in our shops- We LOVE the thrill of the hunt and shop flea markets and antique shows and have many vintage pieces throughout our home and shops. The headboard, family room television cabinet, hallway piece beneath the artwall and storage piece beneath the shelving are all reproduction pieces that we carry and can order. We adore the old- but find that most of our clients want the sturdiness and functionality of the reproduction pieces for their decorating projects. Happy decorating!
