**This giveaway has ended. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!**
Y’all know about my friend Lucy’s jewelry, right?

For those that don’t, she makes her creations from architectural salvage and vintage jewelry and I am just crazy about the stuff!

She sent me this necklace recently, and I literally gasped when I first saw it:

Ya see that strand of cream & gold vintage leaves that make up the right side of the chain? My Grandma Evelyn had a necklace just like that, and man does it makes me smile every time I see it. 🙂
Here’s another one of my favorites:

My wedding anniversary is 6/25, so wearing that one makes me extra smiley, too. 🙂

Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner, Lucy and I thought it would be fun to host a Lucy Lockets giveaway here this week!
The person whose name is (randomly) selected can choose any one of Lucy’s pieces (up to $75). You can see all of her beautiful jewelry at Lucys Inspired, and if you’d like to enter for a chance to win one here, just leave a mom-related message in the comment section below this post. It could be a note about being a mom, or a special story about your mom or grandma- anything that you’d like to share to celebrate the upcoming holiday. 🙂
The giveaway will be open until Wednesday, April 30th at 9am (CST) and I’ll include the winner’s name at the end of this Friday’s post. Good luck and happy Monday!

PS- Instagrammers: Lucy’s Instagram feeds (LucysInspired and Lucys_Lockets) are two of my favorites to follow along with, too! 😉

Being a mom and and a grandmother have been the most important and joyful “jobs” I have had. I am very much missing the “moms” who nurtured me in this life who are no longer with me. My mother, my grandmother who raised me after my mother died from breast cancer and my mother-in- law who taught me so much about being a mother and a grandparent. All three are dearly missed.
I always have such a hard time describing motherhood. It’s the hardest job I have ever had, yet the most rewarding. It’s the one job that I’ve never wanted a break from even though there isn’t one day that passes that I don’t want to pull my hair out at some point. 🙂 Being a momma is the best privilege ever! I am lucky to be Aiden’s mom.
Would love to surprise my mom with jewelry like this! Moms are the best!
I was blessed to be a mother three times and am now blessed to see my girls become mothers. I love being a mom but I don’t think I was prepared for how much I love these grandbabies.
Her jewelry is so unique – just like all us moms! Thanks for the opportunity – my fingers are crossed!!!
P.S. Happy Mother’s Day to ALL mothers out there!
I don’t have a mom anymore. She has gone on to her reward; however, I do have a wonderful mother-in-law who is always there for me and my family as well as my two sister-in-laws and their families. She definitely deserves something nice for mother’s day.
Love my mom and giving her fun items for mother’s day!
Mothers Day is my favorite day of the year. Reminds me of how lucky I am to have my three crazy kids and also reminds me of what great role models I have in my mom and grandma!
Being a momma is the best job I’ve ever had 🙂
thinking about my kids birth mothers…
God blessed us with 4 beautiful daughters, inside and out. I see in each one exactly who I wanted to be when I grew up. God is so good!
Being a mom is the absolute best and scariest feeling I’ve ever encountered. Knowing that it is my job to prepare my child to face the world is a thought that can be worrisome if I let it. But trusting in the Lord with a prayerful heart will secure our treasures (children) in Heaven!
Lovely!!
A great gift for any mom to sparkle a little more!
I LOVE lucy’s lockets! Also, Layla, you are going to be an amazing mama. 🙂
Being a mom to two beautiful daughters adopted from China has been life-changing in ways I never imagined. I am thankful every day that I am a mom, and especially given the journey that we took to get our girls. I am a different person than I would have been without Madelyn and Julia! Happy Mother’s Day to ALL mothers, everywhere.
I just treasure my new MiMi status.
Being a mom is the greatest blessing!!
I didn’t appreciate my mom until I had been a mom for awhile. Somehow, she did it all with with the six of us-always being so
kind and creative. I will be lucky to be a small portion of the amazing mother that she is.
My mom went home to be with The Lord over 7 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. Things I do or that my sisters does in raising our children are so much like her! A legacy. The good and the not so good. All memories of who she was and what she still means to our family! I love my mama!
My mom has a heart bigger than anyone I’ve ever known! I know it’s the cliche, but in this instance it’s so true! She is the kind of person that will truly rejoice with those that rejoice and weep with those that weep. Sometimes so much so that it actually causes her physical pain! She is 86 and can’t get around much anymore to visit or help someone in need, but she constantly is thinking of others and making phone calls all day long to check up on friends and family and pray for them. I’d love to give her something nostalgic to bless her for her constant desire to bless others.
it’s when you truly start to understand what unconditional love is
I am always looking for unique pieces that have meaning for my daughter. She is a great mother of 4 , who at 35 found out she has Huntington’s. She has been in such a depression but I am always on the lookout for inspirational pieces.
My mom is an angel on Earth, one of the best persons ever, love her so much!
Mother’s Day is bittersweet for me–I miss my mother so much-she was such a sweet joy in everyone’s life–but at the same time I relish in the joy of our children and Grandchildren and appreciate how blessed our life is…
Love the jewelry – makes me think of my mom and grandmothers!!Wish I had saved their old jewelry – such a treasure!!My mom continues to inspire me at age 84!!!
The day I gave birth to my little girl was the day my true self was born too. Every year on her birthday I can’t help but think it also symbolizes the day a mother was born. I always take a moment to tell her “her birth story” and reflect on how being her momma is such a true blessing!
You too, Lara, will soon know this remarkable discovery! I just know it!!

I love my Momma and becoming a Mother has been an easy transition (well, mostly because she helped me with that too).
Being a nana to two beautiful little boys takes me back thirty years to when my kids were babies. Happy Mothers Day to all tou beautiful moms.
Stupid autocrorrect! I said, Layla!!! /:
Being a mom can be frustrating, overwhelming and thankless. But you forget about that when they are cuddling up to you at night or telling you that you are the best mom ever… proud momma of two.
Wildly creative and unique!! <3
Hope all the Moms have a great Mother’s Day!
So cute! I might just have to pick up one for myself…mothers can buy their own mothers day gifts, right?
Today, being a mother means watching your son leave for basic training and crying tears of pride mixed with sadness. His plane leaves at 2:00. Prayers appreciated!
Right now I am a mom to my pets – a dog and a cat- and it’s the best job in the world! 🙂
This would be great for my Mom. She loves remade vintage pieces!
I lost of my Grandma’s this year and I miss them both everyday. Love the jewelry and the history behind it!
Happy Mothers Day to all those special moms out there!
I’m not cooking on Mother’s Day this year. Boy, will everyone be surprised!!!
Sadly, I was never able to have any children but have the BEST hubby and 2 furry babies a girl could ever hope for. I am so blessed. But…….I have a GREAT mother and a FANTASTIC mother-in-law so……..MOM’S ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being a mom to triplets with autism has taught me SO much. I think I’m a better mama because if it….at least I hope I am! Happy Mother’s Day to all of us mothers…and mamas in waiting, like you, Layla! xo
I am the proud mom of 5 (his, mine, and ours), and feel blessed everyday!! However, I wouldn’t be half the mom I am today, if it wasn’t for my mom. She sacrificed, worked hard, and loved us every single day. She is my inspiration!!
I would love to wear a piece of her jewelry. So unique and you will never see another piece like it anywhere
I love being a mommy to my two little boys. They are 4 years old and about 18 months. They are so very active and love being outside. Luckily we live on a farm and they get to be outside a lot!
I used to be so embarassed when my mom would cry at every single thing I did. Now I do the same thing just imagining how a mother might feel. I don’t even have a child yet! I’ve turned in to my mother and I’m okay with it!
These are beautiful! I am blessed to be a mom to a feisty four year old, but if I was chosen to win one of these beautiful pieces, I would give it to my mother-in-law because she is such a loving and fun grandmother.
Love being a mom & now am grandma to 5 special little ones. Love every minute of it.
Happy Mother’s Day Mama!
I once heard that “being a mom is to forever have your heart walk around outside of your body”. I don’t know who first said that, but after 15 years of momhood, I live that every day (especially with one who’s ab out to start driving!!!).
I’m a new mom to a 3 month old. It’s the most amazing, scary, wonderful experience of my life. It’s a different kind of love all together than any other love you can experience and I’m loving every second of it. I am so proud to get to call myself a mom, especially to my sweet little man, he’s just awesome. Happy Mothers Day!!
Love my Mom and love being a Mom!
