Hi Layla –It’s ScrapHappyOne from Twitter (Valerie Adam from Pinterest) –I am really looking forward to seeing your posts for this project as we have to redo part of our house to make a home office. We have offices in a commercial building now –but really, we can run our business anywhere –so why not at home?
I get so much inspiration from your blog, I think “Camp Tent” from Camp Wandawega Week is my all-time favorite!
Val
Ok, seriously, you should make a font out of your handwriting – LOVE it!
That IS my handwriting font! 😀 Amanda at KevinAndAmanda.com created it for me!
okay, I am an idiot LOL – I was going to be all “oh, there’s this lady called Amanda who does fonts . . . ” ha! have a great weekend!
Oh my it looks so interesting! Yea can’t wait to see the reveal!
wait. did you write or type that list? total perfection! (and if it is a font, how do i acquire it?)
First off – love your blog!! I get so many great ideas off of it all the time!! You are such a great inspiration!!! Now, a silly question I’m sure. I have a huge love affair with all things paper/stationary/pens anything in the arena…..with this confession out of the way, where did you purchase the kraft pad of paper with your a day for a redo listed on it? I’m silly with the anticipation of being able to buy one to feed my problem!!! Thanks so much!!!
Hi Robin! I actually found that image on Google Images. I added my handwriting to it with Photoshop using the font Amanda (from KevinAndAmanda.com) made me! 🙂
Yep 🙂 I am a HAPPY owner of your “Pea The Lettered Cottage Regular” font!!! 🙂 Yeah Me!!!
Can’t wait to see the finished room…. love your style!!
It’s looking great, Layla! I love those gorgeous, shiny floors, and the ceiling is just beautiful! I bet Kevin will be thrilled when it is done!
Oh, how I lament for being busy because of a room reno! Nowadays, all that’s on my to-do list is “untangle myself from clinging baby arms”.
🙂
awesome!!!
hugs..
Loui♥
Are those pallets or reclaimed boards at the back of your bookshelves? (I know you have no time to type, but when you do… ) I really like the look. Can’t wait to see what other layers you add to your space! Textiles, lighting, art… 🙂
First of all…a big WAR EAGLE shout out!!!! The fact that you are part of the Auburn Family and your incredible ideas & style keeps bringing me back to your site. Love it!
Blessings to you both…or as we Alabamians say, Bless yall.
Happy painting! Can’t wait to see how the room turns out!
Layla and Kev:
Each little reveal is simply a work of art. The room is looking so FAB!
Could you please remind us how large this room is?
I cannot wait for the finish line!!!!!! EX-CITING!
Hi Ter’e! It’s 16-something by 11-something from what I remember. I’ll have to measure again before the reveal post. 🙂
It’s coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see the big reveal!
Seriously? A built-in desk too?? I’m drooling! Lucky ducks! Can’t wait to see it finished!
Well, it’s not built-in, but it was very affordable and is absolutely thrilling for my mister- who has been working on a tray table for waaaay too long! 😀
Wow, it looks Great! Can’t wait to see the whole thing, and read your comments. (in your “handwriting” of course:) )
I kinda like the “floating desk” in the middle of the room!
Love this room! We’re doing something similar (we built similar closets several years ago) and want to build our own desk (right now!). Could you show more details about the desk in a future post? It is exactly the style we would like to build. Great job!
I’m getting excited waiting for the finished product! Don’t work too hard!
Just love all your “sneak peeks” and of your “work in progress”….Looks beautiful so far!!…I have been practicing my “rule of thirds”!!
Hey Layla….okay, I think I “may” have talked hubby into doing our ceiling in our dining room like this….but his big thing is going around the potlights…..any helpful tips on how to do this? we do not want it to look like a square box around the round light….kwim??….LOVE LOVE LOVE this room 🙂
