Five Fun Ideas From Instagram

Jan 5, 2016 By Layla

Hello! Each Wednesday I share a handful of photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling on Instagram the previous week. Here are this week’s picks!

1. LittleFarmstead‘s stump slice stand:

Such a GREAT idea. I see those little glass candlestick holders everywhere, and I love the way they look partnered with that rustic wood!

2. Farmhouse_Whimsy‘s salvaged kitchen door:

How sweet is that?

3. DeeplyDistressed‘s winter decor:

I especially love the evergreen trees she drew on that chalkboard behind the sofa!

4. This fabric NikkiGrandy found at Hobby Lobby:

I’m going to need a couple of yards of that!

5. The porch swing ChristinaWedge posted:

That charcoal gray, that rope, those X’s…SWOON!

I bought that fabric on fabric.com a few months back and they have lots of color options and even different pattern scales. So cute!

The salvaged kitchen door is the best idea for me among the 5 that you have featured. This year I have also decided to update the look of my home by using blackout blinds from this brand http://www.blindsonline.com.au/roller-blinds/blockout-roller-blind and then later on took a little bit of my creativity by sticking a few buttons and gems onto the blinds to make it look more unique. I only did it on the kitchen area though to keep the loud and quirky side of me kept in check and not scattered around the house…lol
