We’ve got an awesome giveaway courtesy of the folks at Design Star for ya this weekend!

The new season starts this Monday, July 11th (9/8 central) and will once again feature 12 talented designers, all competing for a chance to host their own design show on HGTV.




The show takes place in New York City, and like we mentioned in this post, the fabulous Mr. David Bromstad will be mentoring the contestants this time around.

Host, Tanika Ray is joining the cast this season and she’s tons of fun, so I’m stoked they’ve added her to the show! And, of course, judges Genevieve Gorder, Candice Olson and Vern Yip will be back to critique the contestants designs at the end of each episode each week.

And look! David was right! The judges are smiling and laughing more this time! (LOL)

This season will also include a few celebrity guests such as Nate Berkus, Robert and Courtney Novogratz, Kathy Ireland and Paula Deen.

    I remember when you tried out for Design Star! That’s how long I’ve been reading this little ol’ blog of yours. This would be such a fun giveaway! I’ve already been hounding some of my friends who have cable to let me come over and watch it with them.

    I love design star. It is always so entertaining and sometimes I am amazed that the unique creativity. Who wants “same old, same old?” The trailers looked intriguing too. It’s time to set the DVR to record the series because I don’t want to miss a thing.

    So excited the new season of Design Star and all the changes to make it better. I can’t imagine all the pressure they go through to complete something fabulous with such limited time and resources. David B is awesome, of course, but my favorite winner has been Emily.     Love Design Star. I hope they bring it this season. I love the white box challenge cuz there is nothing worse than a white blank canvas to start with. I would buys some paint with that Amex card and use it to paint so many things in my home!!!
