“Friday night football is king.
Sweet tea goes good with anything.
The fireflies come out when the sun goes down.
Nobody eats ’til you say amen.
and everybody knows your mom and them.
You can see who loves who for miles around…
…in a water tower town.”

3pm. That’s what time the sky shows up in photographs of the Bungalow Barn right now!
Kevin snapped that one Friday afternoon and I am loving the way those colors looks together! #RedWhiteAndBlue
The painters haven’t painted the sides or front of our house yet, (see the unpainted little roof and railing sticking off the left side there?), but after waiting 4 years for it to be Simply White, I’m just happy to see one side finished now. 🙂
I am eager to see the ramp and skirting go dark brown-black this week though. I think having a dark color down there will really ground and tie the whole place together. Someone also suggested we ask the painters to paint the (gray) utility meters Simply White (like the house) and I think that’s such a great idea!
All we need now is a silo, right? 😉
I actually did some searching to see if there might be a way to incorporate something fun and farm-y (and small!) for Steevenson and his neighborhood friends to play on/in, and while I was searching, I came across this reeeeally cool country-style play house, complete with old-fashioned water tower slide:
Isn’t that spectacular?! It’s a 250-square-foot remake of the oldest dance hall in Texas:
Surely we can find room to squeeze in an old-fashioned water tower or silo slide somewhere, right? #BatsEyesAtHusband
It was so fun to discover that the folks that made the “Grace Hall” playhouse and water tower (Lilliput Play Homes) have been busy creating lots of other amazing play houses too. Check these out:
All those cute little details, but honestly, I bet this one would be Steevenson’s favorite:
I’m still rooting for room for a water tower though. 😉
