Happy Friday, friends! 😀
Thanks so much for playing along with the poll in Monday’s post. Chandelier #3 won by a landslide!
I actually decided to go with something completely different, and it’s supposed to be here next week, so I look forward to sharing it with you once it’s primed, painted and in place. Here’s a hint at the direction I’m going in:
And while we’re on the subject of light fixtures, we finally got the barn lights in for Jim and Katie’s kitchen area and bathroom. Hopefully the electricians will be back soon to hook them up so the electric company can come inspect and remove the temporary power pole and line in our backyard.
(The barn looks bigger than the rest of the house in that photo, but it looks smaller in real life. I’ll have to take a picture from one of those upstairs windows sometime so you can see.)
Here’s one of the fixtures we’re using over the sinks in their bathroom:
It’s the Austin Gooseneck 2-Light Double Vanity Light.
Such a cutie, huh? The galvanized goosenecks are my favorite. The ones in the kitchen/den area are similar, but they look more like sign lights:

Katie wants to use a lots of navy blue throughout their space, and I thought black, white, gray and green would be great with that particular color. Here are some great navy/black/white/gray/green inspiration photos I rounded up today:

Layla, I was thinking about your in-laws the other day, and I wondered ………When will they get to move in the barn? Am I not remembering correctly, or has this project taken a lot longer than expected?

I didn’t vote for any of the former options on lighting for your office because I couldn’t “see it” in your space. I must say that I love your new options and think any of these will be wonderful! Love the barn bathroom lighting too!

Can’t wait to see your new option – I did vote for #3. Thanks also for the great navy inspirations as we are about to embark on a family room Reno and I am hoping to go in the same direction with the color scheme. Green is my go to accent color and while aqua and turquoise are my usual blues, I just purchased new bedding for our master in navy and white and I am loving it!

My curiosity is peaked! Love the barn lights.
Have a wonderful Fathers Day weekend!

Your house got painted! It looks great! Especially with the red barn!

I love what you chose better than what you suggested in the last post!! I too am thinking this project has taken a VERY LONG TIME as we haven’t seen many updates lately. Hope all is well with everyone! Blessings from Missouri!

Thanks, Robbin! Yeah, the contractors never seem to show up when they’re supposed to (weeks go by in between projects), but it’s actually worked out okay because the three of us are still #FiguringOutFamily and have really needed this extra time to get to know each other and work through some transition trauma. It’ll be another big transition when J & K move in (for all 5 of us), so we’ll get there when we get there. No real rush.

Love the color combo and the lights! That space is turning out amazing!!!!! 🙂 Can you build me one now? Hehe
