**This giveaway has ended. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!**
Y’all know about my friend Lucy’s jewelry, right?
For those that don’t, she makes her creations from architectural salvage and vintage jewelry and I am just crazy about the stuff!
She sent me this necklace recently, and I literally gasped when I first saw it:
Ya see that strand of cream & gold vintage leaves that make up the right side of the chain? My Grandma Evelyn had a necklace just like that, and man does it makes me smile every time I see it. 🙂
Here’s another one of my favorites:
My wedding anniversary is 6/25, so wearing that one makes me extra smiley, too. 🙂

Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner, Lucy and I thought it would be fun to host a Lucy Lockets giveaway here this week!
The person whose name is (randomly) selected can choose any one of Lucy’s pieces (up to $75). You can see all of her beautiful jewelry at Lucys Inspired, and if you’d like to enter for a chance to win one here, just leave a mom-related message in the comment section below this post. It could be a note about being a mom, or a special story about your mom or grandma- anything that you’d like to share to celebrate the upcoming holiday. 🙂
The giveaway will be open until Wednesday, April 30th at 9am (CST) and I’ll include the winner’s name at the end of this Friday’s post. Good luck and happy Monday!
PS- Instagrammers: Lucy’s Instagram feeds (LucysInspired and Lucys_Lockets) are two of my favorites to follow along with, too! 😉

My oldest son is graduating from high school, so this year has been a bit emotional for me. How did time go by so quickly! (I am even getting a bit weepy even typing this.) But it has also been a year filled with gratitude to God for making me a Mom. Blessings on your journey, Layla, it goes by quickly!

This will be my first Mother’s Day without my son around — he and his family have moved to New York for a great job opportunity. I’m proud of him and happy for their adventure — but boy will I miss him that day (I miss them every day, but it will be especially acute then).
Your friend’s jewelry is lovely; it would be so exciting to win one of her lovely necklaces.

Hooray for moms everywhere!

What beautiful jewelry and it makes me think of my mom who always wears beautiful necklaces and earrings, even though she is 86 and can barely walk! She is always beautiful, inside and out!
Megan
My Mom always wears jewerly. She has a set of gold bangles that she has never taken off for years that all of us daughters want! She has amazing vintage statement necklaces before statement necklaces were a thing. I would love to pick out something beautiful for her this mother’s day!

Raising two boys (on my own) was one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing them become men that I am so proud of is fabulously rewarding. Becoming a grandmother topped the cake! It’s the best reward for raising children. Nothing compares with parenting and grandparenting.
Cristina
Motherhood is a journey of discovery of our true character. Each one of my four children (Elliott, Nina, Max and Norah) have thought me more about myself, life and true joy!

My last blogpost is one big tribute to moms and choosing life! I’m mom to 5 and grandma to 8. I don’t have my mom with me anymore as she died of cancer last year. But I have a mother-in-law who would just love one of those necklesses! Here’s to MOM’S!

I lost my mom a number of years ago in a car accident. Still miss her so much! The older I get, the more I appreciate what a gift she was to me, my siblings, and her grandchildren.I often ask myself, “What would Mom do in this situation?” My hope and prayer is to become more like her. Thanks Mom.

My mother is amazing, seriously. I don’t know who I would be or where I would be without her. I moved to Hawaii last July for my husband’s job, which has really put a damper on our relationship, or at least our restaurant dates.
This year, I wasn’t going to be able to get to see her for Mother’s Day (or my birthday 5/14). I was also really sad because my husband is on a 7 week training mission. So, my mom called and told me, “I booked a flight, see you May 8.” My mom is flying TO HAWAII from ALABAMA to spend 2.5 weeks with me so I am not so lonely. Luckily for me, that includes getting to shower her with Hawaiian love while she is here for Mother’s Day. One of these necklaces would be a GREAT present to surprise her with on Mother’s Day this year.
Thanks for sharing!

My sister became a mom for the first time a year ago. While OUR mom was (and still is!) a superstar mom, I was able to watch my sister go from cool, carefree older sister, to the world’s most PERFECT mom for her son, Jack. He had a rough entrance into the world, but my sister is Jack’s biggest fan, supporter, encourager, and source of kisses and cuddles.
Being an aunt is also the best thing in the world. This little boy’s determined spirit to overcome physical hardship/illness has literally been life saving to me.
I would be honored to win a necklace! I think it would be a “traveling” necklace between my sister and me, so we can both enjoy it’s beauty – even when we live hundreds of miles apart. (Think “sisterhood of the traveling…NECKLACE!” 🙂

My mom died unexpectedly on Mother’s Day last year. So I’m trying not to think about it. I’m busy with my daughter’s Golden birthday she turns 6 on May 6th! She’s soooo excited, therefore, I am too. She misses her grandma terribly, as I miss my mom see her grow up. So this year, I’ll call my dad and siblings and check in. But I’m just gonna take it easy that day and let my grief have a day. I do love the jewelry! It’s so vintage.
Kim
Such pretty jewelry! My 4 year old took a good stab at this momma’s heart this morning when he asked if I could snuggle under the blanket instead of going to work…..oh how tempting it was!! I’m a substitute teacher so no days off for me until May 30 but then I’m all snuggles!

If Mama ain’t happy, no one is!

My Grandma and My mom both made jewelry in the 70’s with wire and plastic beads. At the time I thought they were silly, and “old lady like”. What I wouldn’t do to have them both here with me today watching them make those necklaces.
Sandra
I absolutely love the pieces of jewelry you have pictured in this post, especially the orange one. It is so different and unique.
I wanted to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day-To-Be! There is nothing like the bond between a son and his mother. So excited for you and I can’t wait for you to experience this! You are going to be such a wonderful mother. 🙂

Jewelry that reminds us of, or resembles that, of woman folk before us is truly the best. Nothing feels better than a memory of precious people in our lives.

My Grandma always had fresh made gingerbread cookies in the cookie jar right inside her doorway that all of us cousins would snatch up when we came to visit!
