Thought-Full Thursday: Watermelon

Jun 23, 2016 By Layla

“Maybe that’s why the good Lord gave us these vivid memory capabilities. When stress hits, we can just close our eyes, lean back and relax, and enjoy a game of Tidly-Winks, the sound of a Pete Rose baseball card in the spokes of our bike, or maybe a nice slice of watermelon – with a sprinkle of salt.”

Watermelon Dress by Lula Roe | TheLetteredCottage.net

…and speaking of watermelon…how cute is that watermelon dress?!

It’s an “Amelia” by Lula Roe. A gal I’ve become friends with through Instagram (Aly Padrnos) recently became a Lula Roe consultant and I got it from one of her Facebook sales a couple of weeks ago. If you’re not familiar, it’s sort of a “first come, first serve/whoever leaves a SOLD comment on the photo first gets the dress” situation, and since there is only one of each item she posts, and this dress just happened to be in my size, boy was I sweating bullets when the picture of it popped up! (She had posted a preview photo of it earlier that week, so I (and several other ladies!) knew to be on the lookout for it that afternoon.) Funny story, Kevin and I were driving home from Shreveport at the time of the sale and I was trying to type my comment so fast, I sent the word “SOL” the first time around- ha! By the time I had refreshed the page (which wasn’t refreshing super fast because we were on the Interstate) and successfully typed and sent the word “SOLD” (and refreshed the page again to see if I was the only commenter) I literally had to have Kevin pull the car over so I could stand up and just breathe! I told him I didn’t think I was cut out for Lula Roe- LOL! 😀

Have you ever shopped a Lula Roe sale?

As a LuLaRoe consultant myself, we love to see happy stories like this… don’t you just sweat bullets to see if you are the first?

That dress was made for you! I just became familiar with Lularoe myself and now own three dresses and one pair of leggings! The leggings feel like butter and I am afraid that if I put them on, I may not take them off. Which may be a problem. The Lularoe reps have to buy their own stock, thats why they may have limited selections available, glad you got your dress!!
