“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
I loved reading that. Sometimes I struggle to remember it, but when I do…remember to turn on my Light, I mean…it really does make a difference. An about-face in attitude, or an intentional shift in perspective…heck, lungs full of fresh air…can really help me tap into the power of the bright side. I know it’s always in there. Just like the sky is always blue above the rain, we are hardwired to feel Joy on the other side of pain.
I have that quote up in my kitchen. Partly because our family loves Harry Potter but also because it’s so true! We all have the potential to go to the “dark side”… so get those lights on!!! Literally and figuratively!
Every time I fly and get above the clouds I think it’s so beautiful. And I call it “the other side of a cloudy day”. ❤
That’s so sweet of you to share this, thank-you.
Great quote, although I prefer Rowling’s “I solemnly swear I am up to no good” because it makes me laugh and I’m happier when I’m laughing.
There’s a new song released by For King and Country called “Joy” and it’s all about choosing joy. Check it out!
I remember reading this a while back and now, months later, it still has the same impact. Inspirational at best!
I’ve read your insightful and inspiring comment every day since my Mom passed away. Thank you.
Sending hugs, sweet Marie.
