Quote Jars!

Apr 3, 2009 By Layla

Like our “Good Jars”, our “Quote Jars” are filled with 365 of my favorite quotes of all time.

I’m talkin’, read-one-and-it-will-change–your–day-kinda-quotes. 🙂
The slips are nestled inside of a glass, wire-bale jar, that is simply divine on its own.
I keep one in my Guest Room, for visitors to enjoy.
I also keep one on the window sill, near my bed, so that I can start each day in a more inspired way.
Each time I loosen the wire clasp, and draw a slip from my jar, I make a very conscious effort to remember that this is a new day, and I feel so blessed within this moment. Don’t forget to find some stillness, and create moments for yourself filled with value and meaning. They’re so important!
For me, these special “twinklings” create clarity, which in turn, creates the opportunity for new and wonderful ways for me to express the joy that lives within me.

And today, that joy is expressed through my Quote Jar.

Here are some examples of what you’ll find inside:

“A good laugh is like sunshine in the house” – William Makepeace Thackeray

“Happiness: To be dissolved into something complete & great” – Willa Cather

“Work is love made visible” – Kahlil Gilbran

“Rise above the storm and you will find sunshine” – Mario Fernandez

“Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place” – Brad Henry

“Minds are like parachutes. They only function when open” – Thomas Dewar

“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight” – Phyllis Diller

“A problem divided by you equals change” – Kevin Lee Palmer (my hubby!)
