Well, it’s officially Fall, and I cannot tell you how excited I was when I saw the vegetable stand down the street putting out bunches and bunches of big, beautiful pumpkins! I get absolutely giddy when I see them popping up around town!

My mom and I took a road trip up to Minnesota last Fall, and I’ll never forget picking out pumpkins with her in Wisconsin, on the way back home.

To celebrate the changing of seasons, we’re having a fall-themed giveaway here at TLC this week, so if your heart skips a beat for these…

    There’s something about fall that is imminently more pleasingly tactile to me than the other seasons of the year. Winter you feel the cold, ‘hear’ the silence, and see beautiful shimmery snow (at least where I live). In Spring you smell fresh grass, see tiny pastel buds and hear chirping from birds out of hibernation. Summer brings kids shouts, brilliant floral color and HEAT. But fall is just luscious. We still have a warm sun on a cool day, garden harvests that provide a rainbow of color and cooking flavors, and crunch of leaves under foot. The little lovelies that we could win inspire all that is the very best of fall.
    PS. Thanks for the idea about acorns in nests! I have an extensive collection of fallen bird nests, some with egg remnants. I never thought to switch out and add seasonal acorns.

    i have been having a hard time letting go of summer. i am slowly putting out fall decorations. these are all so beautiful! they would certainly make the transition from summer to fall alot more exciting!!
