“One day I would have all the books in the world, shelves and shelves of them. I would live my life in a tower of books. I would read all day long and eat peaches. And if any young knights in armor dared to come calling on their white chargers and plead with me to let down my hair, I would pelt them with peach pits until they went home.”
Jacqueline Kelly
Ha! That quote made me smile. 🙂 But mmmmm, peaches. And the calendar says peach season is right around the corner, y’all.

It runs from mid-May through August in Georgia, and you can purchase sweet peaches within hours of being picked at roadside stands everywhere there. Anybody else’s mouth just water? 🙂
I’m in a big time peach/peaches phase right now. I love that it’s a warm color, but also feels super fresh. I stumbled upon a photo of a peach-themed bath mat this weekend and it led me on quite the peach-themed goose chase. There are so many fun peachy things on the market right now!

What a wonderful quote! And now my mind is filled with thoughts of ripe juicy peaches 😁
Mmmmmmmmm! 😀
“Peachy Clean” 🍑❤️🍑
Love fresh peaches sooooo much! Just slice & eat, homemade ice cream, peach cobbler…I’m drooling! 🤗 In the 80’s peach and blue were “the” colors to decorate with. There was a shop here that sold peach potpourri and I had it in my house all the time! Just a faint, whisper of fragrance…heavy, flowery, sweet fragrances give me headaches so I loved my peach even more. 😊 My daughter’s friends would come over when they were home from college and they would say that the peach scent was one of the things they missed the most! I kinda think it was probably the food…Lol

Pat! What a fun comment you left for us all to read! Thank you for joining the conversation and making my mouth water too! 😀
Layla,
I LOVE peaches!! There is a roadside little farm stand I Montezuma, Georgia that opens around June 15th. When I travel to our farmhouse which was built around the Civil War time, that is one of the places I have to go!! There is nothing quite as good as a delicious, Georgia peach!! Georgia is such a place of love and memories for me! My mom’s side of the family has lived there for generations. We also have family in Alabama too! Love your sweet stories, how your family loves God, your sweet Steevenson, and praying for you as you overcome your challenges!! Love all the peachy decor!! Xoxo
Thank you, Babette! 😀 And oh how I loved reading about your trips to the old farmhouse. I picture the smell of the peaches in that roadside stand from here!
There is a new peach candle from antique candle co. that is to die for (not an ad 😂) They just released it this week and it is so good! I have been craving peaches since I got it. I am in Tennessee so we won’t get good peaches for another month or so.
Now I’m craving homemade peach ice cream!
Very pretty Layla!
Ah, peaches! I was raised in Western Colorado in the middle of peach & fruit orchards (though my dad was a chemist at Union Carbide, we lived on a 1-acre hobby farm and my mom could grow anything) – so my ultimate peach is always a Colorado one. For a decade or so, we lived in Texas and discovered Weatherford peaches could hold a close-candle to our beloved Colorado varieties, and when visiting GA – my husband’s home state – I had a few good ones there too. Childhood fav memory – eating my mom’s “Thin Pancakes” called “Platta” covered with her homemade peach jam…YUM. Alas, we don’t have peaches here until JULY. Can you believe it? JULY!
In Michigan, they ripen in August–so you are ahead of us!

I read your blog, but rarely (if ever) have commented. Your peaches brought me back in memory to my home state of South Carolina which is truly the peach state!! Your #9 peach sign refers to Gaffney, SC. Look up “Peachoid, Gaffney, SC” and you can see the largest peach anywhere. (hint: it’s a 4-story water tower visible from the Interstate highway!) https://roadtrippers.com/us/gaffney-sc/points-of-interest/peachoid
Ok what an absolutely delicious eye candy post!! I’m peach crazy too 😜 (Ps I just did the peach emoji and it was saying it was spammy lol 😜😜 I should have known…I have two teens!!
This is a great post. I live in Saskatoon, SK Canada and for me to get fresh peaches from a tree I drive 1200 km west to British Columbia to experience that. The good news is I am travelling to Savannah and Hilton Head in September so hopefully I can experience a Georgian peach then. Thanks for a beautiful website that I check regularly. Your family stories, decorating and photography are inspiring. Keep up the great content and blessing to your family.
Loving your all things “peach” post. Every single thing is so cute and summery. Thanks for the uplift this morning!
