Painting A Brighter Future

Oct 1, 2011 By Layla

Howdy, and happy weekend!

We wanted to take a moment to pass along some info about True Value’s Painting A Brighter Future program in case you know of a school that could use some new paint!

The True Value Foundation provides grants for up to 40 gallons of paint to more than 100 schools each year, and they’ve covered more than 3 million square feet of classrooms with a fresh coats since 2009!

In order to apply for a grant, schools must seek out a local True Value store to “sponsor” them- then, if they’re selected to receive a grant, the local True Value store will supply and deliver paint to the school.

Click here, or on the badge above for more information about the program, and feel free to pass this post along if you know someone who you think would like to apply!

How can I let them know I’d love to help paint? This is my kind of gig! Combining volunteering with painting with children!! Perfecto!
Thanks for the tip and heads up!

This is great. Because unfortunaely a lot of schools could really use this type of assistance.

Thanks for posting this! I had not heard of this program. My boys’ school could desperately use some paint and we have not been able to talk our district into finding the money for the paint, although we had volunteers for the work. We’ll contact our local True Value!
