I’ve had so much fun seeing Halloween costume ideas pop up here and there. The crazy cat lady is my current fav!
I love it when folks with babies go with a group costume!
And one of my favorite family Halloween costumes is this camping crew:
How fun is that? 😀
Steevenson had his heart set on dressing up at Cat Noir this year and I’m going to join him as Ladybug. They’re the lead characters of the cartoon Miraculous.
If you’re unfamiliar with the show, it was produced in Paris, but is now shown here in the States on Nickelodeon and on Netflix. It’s set in modern-day Paris, and focuses on teenagers Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste. When evil arises, Marinette transforms into her secret superhero persona Ladybug, while Adrien transforms into his superhero persona Cat Noir, using magical jewels known as the Miraculous. Oblivious to each other’s true identities, the two work together to protect Paris from the mysterious villain Hawk Moth. I’m not sure why he decided on Ladybug and Cat Noir, he likes SO many other characters too, but I will admit, I’m excited to sport those purple pigtails on Halloween too! 🙂
Kevin decided he’s dress up as a man riding a Raptor:
That costume appears to be on backorder now, but the is still available and can ship in time for Halloween:
We’ll be trick or treating in Minnesota this year, so I imagine there will be a couple more layers under and on top of our costumes, but what a treat to be able to spend the day with some of my favorite people on the planet, and that Steevenson is SO excited to meet for the first time!
What are you or your kiddo(s) dressing up as this year?

My daughter was the Crazy Cat Lady a couple of years ago and she got so many positive responses! She is getting too old for trick-or-treating, but she has a Halloween band concert and the kids are allowed to dress up. One of the songs she is playing is about mythical creatures and a movement from the song is called The Jackalope, so she has made her own jackalope costume. I’m pretty proud of her–she did a fantastic job and it’s as cute as the dickens!
So funny you included the camping costume set–I desperately wanted my kids to do that a few years ago but I couldn’t get any takers. I love creative costumes!
Have a great time with your little guy on Halloween and post some pictures!

My daughter is going out with a group of 4 friends (they’re 14) and they’re all going as jellyfish. Apparently they got the idea from pinterest and we’re assembling the costumes this weekend. Each has a clear umbrella, LED lights and streamers. Should be a fun thing to see!
My younger daughter is going as a vampire. So one traditional costume and one “outside the box” costume.
Happy trick-or-treating!
