Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Apr 24, 2020 By Layla

Hard to believe it’s Friday again, huh? It’s weird how time can move so slowly and so quickly all at once. We start the book club one week from today (yay!) and Mother’s Day is only two weeks (and 2 days) away!

And that reminds me…a few people have asked how to join the book club, so I wanted to mention that all you have to do is come here on Monday, May 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. I’ll have a blog post up on each of those days that’s specifically dedicated to our club and we can chat all about that week’s chunk of chapters in the comment section. Squee! It’s going to be so much fun to read it with you! 😀

And speaking of Mother’s Day…I did a little online window shopping (Get it? Window shopping? Because you open windows on a computer? Hardy har har.) 😉 Anywhoobs, I found a lot of fun little things while I was surfing around, so I thought I’d include a round up here in today’s post in case you want to see what kinds of things caught my eye too. You can click on the pics below to be re-directed to the website they live on:

I also included my favorite Susan Branch books, our “Fresh Pies” sign, and that grocery scale/clock/planter we hung up last week. Just a fun collection of goodies that I either already have…or that I would like to have! 🙂

I got the juicer yesterday, and the spoon rest is on the way. Isn’t it gorgeous?

I love the way it feels in my hands. It’s so chunky and cool to the touch. It’ll make a pretty addition to the kitchen whether we’re squeezing juice with it or not!

The gingham sherpa blanket is finally back in stock (and on clearance!) and we have really enjoyed using it on our (king-sized) bed.

And that lip quench I linked to is my absolute favorite.

I like that one because it goes on more like a balm and enhances and evens out your natural lip color. And, yes, I’ll be scraping the inside of that barrel ’til it’s totally gone. 😉

My mom has always said that if she could only use one makeup item, she’d choose lipstick. I used to think I’d choose mascara, but the older I get, the more I find myself most drawn to wanting my lips coated with a little color too. Which one item would you choose?

Foundation. One that moisturizes and protects my skin as well as smooths out my skin tone. Hooray for a younger looking complexion!

I have blonde hair and very pale eye lashes so I don’t even like to go for my morning run without a little mascara.
Any good quotes? I have a grandson who is a senior in high school and the way things stand right now, he/his class probably won’t be able to have a graduation ceremony at school in May as previously planned.

Does the black and white check Sherpa blanket come in Queen size?

Hi Mildred! The last time I checked it was just the king size on clearance, but you may want to double check!
