Halloween Decorating

Well, we woke up to temps in the 50s this morning, so I think it’s officially Fall in central Alabama. I stepped out onto the front porch this morning and the air fiiiinally matched the decorations we started putting out a few weeks ago.

My favorite touch is the layered doormats by the front door:

In other news, my mother-in-law started eating an egg every morning after a family member told her it would decrease the swelling in her ankles and feet. She started eating one for breakfast every day from that day forward, and wouldn’t you know it, there has been a dramatic and noticeable difference in the amount of inflammation ever since! Just thought I’d share that since it worked so well for Katie. I’ve actually started eating one every day for the same reason too!

We don’t just bond at breakfast time though. 😉 I gave Katie a manicure after lunch one day last week.

Aren’t her hands beautiful? That color is called Manchester Mauve and she’s still wearing and loving it today.

After I put her strips on, I gave myself a new color too. I put Marble City on every nail and then layered El Dorado (a translucent gold glitter) on top of the strips on my ring fingers:

Lettered Cottage Nails

I’m excited to blog about the dining room table we’ve started refinishing on Monday. If you followed along on Insta-stories, you’ve already seen a sneak peek. We’ve still got 10 leaves to sand, stain and seal, but it’s fun to have the most damaged parts freshened up right now!
