Hi- hope you’re having a happy Labor Day weekend!
Our neighborhood is having it’s annual Summerfest event today since it got rained out on the 4th of July, so we’re looking forward to spending the afternoon/evening with friends, family, food and fireworks!
Before I dash off to start picking up the house though, I wanted to let you know about the Fall link parties we’re throwing again this year. Me, Sarah, Kate and Rhoda will all post Fall-themed decorating ideas between September 24 and October 3rd, and we’d love to invite you to play along, too!

My husband and I just bought a new house and, for the first time in my adult life, I have a mantle to decorate!! I love Fall and can’t wait to see the posts! Now if I can just get that piano room……

It is so great to organize parties, especially in autumn, when the weather is dull, because it is such a pleasure to meet your friends and to have fun! The idea of a mantel party sounds really great and unique. I think it will be successful.
