Hi, guys!
Okay- I told you I was going to share a post about the centerpiece I created for the middle of our dining room table today, so here I am with some pics! It was inexpensive and easy-peasy to put together, and the (real) pumpkins in it should last at least a couple of weeks, so yay! I started with an oval-shaped tray I got from Creative Co-op a while back. My friend Jenny places large orders with them on a regular basis, and she let me add it on to one of her shipments last year. Once I had the tray in place, I laid some paper doilies I had from another project on the bottom of it. Then, I popped one of my small white cake stands in the center of the tray, and then shopped the house for small, textural vessels and “faux-liage” to nestle around it. Last but not least, I added some pumpkins I got at the curbside market in downtown Montgomery, and voilà!
In a nutshell, I wanted the arrangement to be mostly white, but I thought it would be fun to pop some (faux) vegetation in there because I love a green, white, navy combo. That color scheme may not be for everyone this time of year, but that’s okay, because different strokes for different folks, right? When we need the table for food, it’s easy enough to pull some of the bigger pieces apart so we can move the tray over to the kitchen island. Oh, and by the way, I got the pretty embroidered tablecloth from Kevin’s mom, Katie. I love it paired with the crisp lines of the gingham!
Happy weekend, y’all!

Hi! This tablescape is totally gorgeous. Just wondering where you got the pumpkins? Where is a curbside market in downtown Montgomery? I’d love to know 🙂

It’s by Crampton Bowl! 😀

How cool is it that you’re so inspirational! I am en route to our dining room table to grab a yellow ware platter, some white stuff AND my white pumpkins! 😉

You go, girl! 😀

it’s lovely Layla! I rather like the blue, white, green theme.
It’s funny after the previous post debates about “non-autumn” colours, I challenged myself to think outside the box as I was tablecloth shopping for Thanksgiving. I saw a GORGEOUS royal blue tablecloth and a lovely grey one – and there I was wearing my Layla hat thinking wow that would totally make my oranges/golds/reds really pop! 🙂
Thanks for opening my mind to new ideas.
Happy belated Thanksgiving…and happy early Thanksgiving for you! 🙂
