Y’all! I am so excited to share with you that we’ve been asked to participate in a fun rug designing challenge! 😀
And when I say “we”, I literally mean you and me because I’m reeeeally hoping you’ll want to join me in the design process as I blog about ideas from now til July 6th. I’ll explain more about that in a minute, but first, let me tell you about the contest:
In a nutshell, the folks at Annie Selke (the creative gal who founded Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert) are hosting their first ever “Rug Design Challenge” and they’ve invited fifteen design bloggers to submit as many designs as we can dream up. You may be familiar with some (or all!) of the other bloggers who are participating:
Such an honor to be a part of that super-creative group!
The Annie Selke blog says, “These bloggers are tasked with creating their dream rugs with the chance to have them produced by Dash & Albert“, and that folks can “cfollow the design process and vote on each of the designs via the Annie Selke Instagram feed”. Their media partner, Apartment Therapy, will be “documenting the whole process, too, right through to the end, when the capsule collection is presented at High Point Market in April of 2018”.
WOW! Do you see why I said “we” now? This challenge is about creating a collection of rugs that could work well in lots of folks’ homes (not just mine) so I’m reeeally hoping you’d like to be a part of the design process too! I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section any time I blog about the design process along the way, and if you have any to share before I get started next week, I’m all ears in the meantime, too!
Tell me what your dream rug would look/feel like. What room would it go in? What size or shape would it be?
