I’m so excited to share some updated photos and a post about Steevenson’s room today. This is his first time ever being involved in a design process and it has been SO much fun to see how excited he gets about his room’s new look! We’re still working on a couple other corners, but I wanted to show you the bunk bed area today. Steevenson chose the bunk beds and I surprised him with the easy-to-zip-up, super snuggly bedding. He squealed the first time he crawled up and in and he loooves relaxing under those covers for a while after school each day too.

We found the bed here: * and we got the bedding from *Beddy’s. If you’re unfamiliar with Beddy’s, it’s basically a really fun way to make a bed fast, and helps kids (and adults!) get into the habit of doing it no matter how much time they have (or don’t have!) after they jump out of bed in the morning.

The reason it makes up so quickly is because the blanket and comforter are sewn together and held in place by two zippers that makes it super easy to tidy up. And because the zippers go all the way around, it makes it easy for the blankets to completely detach when they need to be washed, too!

The sheet is sewn to the “comforter” sides and that goes on just like any other fitted sheet would. The corners of our mattresses lift up without a problem, so it’s easy to put the fitted part in place. Here’s a video that shows how easy it all works on a regular bed too:

    I’ve seen Beddy’s before–looks like a great idea.

    Is that a rug or carpeting on Steevenson’s floor? Can you share a source, please?

    I agree that your font size is a bit small–also, the light grey in the text comment box that I am currently typing in is hard to see (actually, so are the boxes). My middle-aged eyes are struggling! 🙂

    I also would like to know what the flooring is in Steevenson’s room. Product manufacturer, pattern name and colour. They look like carpet tiles, very cool. Thanks.

      They’re FLOR carpet tiles…seems like they were called Roadside Attraction and were maybe the color Flax?

    I noticed your blog was easy to read today! I don’t really remember having trouble with it before, but it looks nice! 🙂 That bunkbed is SOOOO cute! Did you guys paint it white? All 3 of our boys have Beddy’s on their beds, and they love them.

    What a fun set of bunk beds!! I sure would have loved the Beddy’s when I was a kid and sleeping in a bunk bed. I might have made my bed more often. lol
