Just some fun things I spotted online while shopping for bedding and nightstands this weekend. Looks like the sales are ending on some of them soon, so I thought I’d publish a post before they do!
I’m on the fence about that nightstand, but I do really like the look of it and it’s 37% off this weekend. Kevin thinks we should go for it and get two for our bedroom while they’re on sale. Oh, and did I tell you? We finally got a new bed! We’ve had a headboard leaning up against the wall for over a decade, but this is the frame we just received and put together today:
I’ll keep you posted on how we like it, but it got hundreds of great reviews and now that we’ve got it assembled, I can confirm that it is a very sturdy, great-looking bed!
Happy weekend,
Layla
PS- Here’s the other bed we were looking at:
I think if I could do it over, I would’ve selected that one because the thicker bars on the head and footboard are one single bar, and not two bars sandwiched together. If you look closely at the upper left corner of the headboard on the bed we chose you’ll see what I mean. I didn’t catch it before I ordered it, and now that ours is assembled we’re not going to worry about it, but I hope that helps if you’re on the fence too!

Those tables are adorable! Love your new bed too. š

Speaking personally, while I like the nightstand I am not a fan of matching bedside tables any more than I am matching sofa end tables etc. I think the blends-together-well but does not look like a set is more intetesting. I call it the aquired over time look. I say order one for Kevin and look for something else white or that you could paint white for yourself. It could even be just a bit more feminine looking than this. Just my 2 cents worth!

Love the nightstand I would say go for it.

Love the look and that they are all wood. Note the dresser drawers are only 13.5ā deep. Also reviews state they squeak a lot during use so no runners Iām assuming?
Layla
Good point! I do love a runner, so it’s definitely something to consider.

My grandmother had metal bed frames in all her rooms when I was little. I remembered they squeaked a lot when you moved in the bed.

I like you bed choices/choice. I have the Wesley Allen “Braden” iron bed and I love it. It’s sturdy and it doesn’t make any noise. I also have non-matching bed side tables, but love the ones you picked out.
