Happy Tuesday!
How are things on the other side of this screen, friends? Do you want to see what I did on the shelves in the sunroom yesterday? I grabbed some things from around the house to surprise Steevenson with a little “winter wonderland” when he got home from school…
I hung the little gold stars from fishing line that I taped to the bottom side of that lower shelf. Steevenson squealed when he saw them, and I have to be honest, they thrill my heart too. 🙂
(If you look at this tree from this angle it looks like there’s a star on top!)
Steevenson and I made the gingerbread camper together a couple of weeks ago. We got it for ten bucks at Target and the only thing I would’ve done differently, is decorated the cookies first. The instructions on the box told us to put it all together and then decorate it on the last step, but man was it challenging to squirt that icing sideways. Especially for Steevenson, who decided sticking the pieces of candy on would be his job after struggling with the icing tube for longer than he cared to. 😉
(Big, old-fashioned style candy canes- my favorite to decorate with!)
I picked up the old letters and numbers on Etsy. I love adding them here and there for a little extra personality.
(I like the way the wooden “G” mimics the color of the gingerbread!)
I finished decorating the mantel today too. I’ll have to snap some pics to show you how that spot turned out too! In the meantime, have a merry middle-of-the-week!

So cute. I’d squeal if I was a little kid too. So cute.
Thank you, Denise! 🙂
What a mama!!
What a comment!! Thank you! 🙂
So beautiful and FUN! What a great surprise to come home to! ❤️
Thank you, Erin! I’m sitting across from it right now and smiling every time I look up from this screen! 🙂
Very cute! Love the gingerbread camper and the stars!
Thank you, Jenn! 😀
Can you tell me what brand of “snow” you buy?
Hi Connie! Sure, here’s my a link to the only kind I buy:
Buffalo Faux Snow
Hope that helps and happy decorating!

So stinking cute,❤️the roping for the 🌲! Great job with the camper.
Thank you, Bev! Merry Christmas!
So cute. Can you share how you made
The little trees with the rope base?
Hi! Sure! I just wrapped yarn around the pots and tied it off in back. Easy peasy! 🙂
Super cute! Love the gingerbread camper! My grandkids do gingerbread houses every year and are becoming quite talented with the icing and candy.
Thank you! And I’m so glad your grandkids are having fun with their gingerbread houses too! Merry Christmas!
You’re a great mama. My kids are 16 and 14 and still love little surprises like that. I bet you got as much joy from this as Steevenson did. 🙂
I did! What a treat to create things that still make me feel like a kid again too! 😀
This is fantastic! It makes me squeal just looking at it!
Thank you, Kalyn! So fun to see your name pop up here! 🙂
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing and thank you for not painting the brass. I agree. She may like it again one day.
Hi Amelia!
I’m not sure which “brass” you were referring to, but it’s one of my favorite metals too! 🙂
