Well, we’re one sanding block, a tube of caulk, some hardware, and some primer and paint away from being finished with the armoire! I snapped these pics on the way out the door this morning…
Once we push it back against the wall, we’ll secure it to a stud with that metal strap you can see sticking out up near the top.
Here’s another shot of it that shows where it sits in relation to the living room/kitchen:
I had Brian build it so that it was the exact same height as the other doors around it (101″), and I’m really looking forward to having an extra “closet” on the first floor.
The rest of the project will have to wait for a bit though- we’re headed to Minnesota today! Family and fall colors, here we come! 😀
