“I like to sit at airports. I like to see people reunited. I like to see people run to each other, I like the kissing and the crying. I like the impatience, the stories that the mouth can’t tell fast enough, the eyes that can’t take in all the change. I like the hugging, the smiling, the bringing together, the end of missing someone.”
-Jonathan Safran Foer
C is for CELEBRATE!
Y’all! TWO of Sweet P’s little buddies are coming home with their families within the next three weeks!! Do you know how much HOPE that gives me? Do you know how BAD I want to be at the airport when those families come home with their kiddos? A road trip (or two!) might be in order. 😉
C is also for C-table. Did you know what that’s what these things are called?
Pardon the unfinished wall, and still picture-less frame. Just a couple of projects I’m taking my time with. We all have a couple those, right?
Anywho- back to C-tables. I’m crazy about the things. They’re just so handy to have next to a chair or sofa, ya know? Especially in our current living room. Because of the way we arranged the furniture, and how wide the space is, there’s a lot of open floor space right in the middle of the room. (We ditched our old coffee table because it looked too small sitting floating in all that floor space, and we figured Sweet P would rather have room to roll around there anyway.)
We picked up the two of the tables in these photos at TJMaxx last month and man have we enjoyed them. We put our meals on them, our laptop on them…and they’re great for books and beverages too.
Would you believe they were only $24.99? Such a good price compared to most of the other ones I’ve seen:
(Pier 1)
(CB2)
Just wanted to spread the word about them in case anyone else out there is looking for something similar. Oh, and they had two smaller sizes that were $19.99 and $14.99 too!
Happy weekend, friend!

Fingers crossed that your sweet pea will be coming home with you both soon! Love the C-tables. I’ll be on the look-out now but I bet they go fast. I love that you celebrate with the other families knowing that your time will come soon!
I love that table! What a great idea. My only question is do you just leave it in front of the sofa like that all the time? Or do you put it somewhere else when not in use?
We do! 😀 We use them all. day. long. (even if it’s just books or magazines that are sitting on them) so we keep them out all the time!
I was going to ask the same question! Thanks!
Hmmm…maybe a trip to TJMaxx today is in store for me. Sweet P will enjoy those tables while he draws and has his snacks while mom and dad are working!
Love those …I am going to look at my tjmaxx !
Those looks so handy! Also especially a good solution for a small home/space that a coffee table would be to over bearing. With these as well you can move them wherever you want, they remind me of those metal tv stands I grew up with when I was a kid. Though they are much prettier now 🙂

I have been praying SO hard for y’all. The moment before I came to your blog today, I prayed for any kind of progress..that would give you some hope. And I saw your words of hope and burst into tears thanking God.
Layla, I love the tables and I am SO happy that you will (hopefully) have your precious child home soon. You seem like a genuine and wonderful person who deserves only the best.
Do you know if these are still available at TJ Maxx? I’ve looked online and don’t even see many tables on their website. Thanks so much!
