Alabama Safari Park

Aug 12, 2019 By Layla

Happy Monday!

My mom and nephew came for a visit this past weekend and I thought I’d share a bit about one of the highlights of our time together. It’s called the Alabama Safari Park and it’s a 350-acre drive-thru adventure. They opened in the Spring of 2018 and they collaborate with other zoos and field experts to support wildlife conservation through public education, captive breeding programs, habitat preservation, and by providing financial aid and assistance to wildlife projects in more than 25 countries around the globe. It’s located off I-65 just south of Montgomery, Alabama.

Click play on the video player below to watch a highlight reel of our day:

Like we all said, we highly recommend making the stop if you live in the area or are traveling on I-65. What a cool experience!

Have you been to a unique destination lately? We’d love to read about it in the comment section if you have! 🙂

We had a group that went to splash adventure in Bessemer. It was a lot of fun. We did the rides in the morning including the rampage roller coaster. I was ready for an aspirin and the waterpark after that!
We had about 6 adults and 12 or so kids. Many different areas in the water park so we moved about. Appeals to all ages.

Lovely Layla! I’m unable to travel anymore so getting to go along, on an experience like this, was such a sweet treat…like a ~5 minute vacay, minus the heat & stink. 🥴 Curious about many things but I’ll just ask 1 thing. Were the zebras the most…respectful? (It sure seemed like it?)

I was so immersed (animal obsessed) that I forgot myself & the pain, fatigue, anxiety…that currently joins me everywhere, all of the time. Anywho! Afterwards, my face felt strange. Then I remembered – it was major-smile muscle-fatigue. 😃 Thank you! What a gift. May you & yours be blessed 10, no, 1000 😉 fold for always being such a blessing.

    Dear Layla,

So enjoyed your video the boys sure liked the park! I just have to say it was so great to see Steevenson in this video, so grown it seems like time is flying by. You and Kevin have done a marvelous job of raising him with so much love it is quite apparent! He is such a sweetheart and you all are SO blessed! I vote Steevenson Palmer for President in the future! Blessings to all!!! 💕From a reader in NYC

San Sebastian, Spain. It was an awesome trip. Loved every minute of it. If only the US could live so close to everything you need so we could walk to the grocery, bread shop, etc. It was a long held dream come true to visit Spain. I thank God everyday for the wonderful opportunity He gave me.
