Did I Say Red?

Did I say red? I *may* have meant darker shades of green…

I’m sure it goes without saying that I will *definitely* be keeping our farmhouse-meets-cottage style backdrop very neutral so I can change our accent colors whenever I’m feeling inspired to.

Ya know- like, tomorrow. 😉

That’s a colour I would never have picked but I love how fresh it makes these rooms look against the neutral backgrounds…..love it!
I’ve been following your blog for about a year now and never commented, just want to say that I love it and look forward to your adoption updates. So happy for you guys can’t wait to ‘meet’ the little fella. X

ooh! Lovely inspiration pics!!!! When I started sewing, I realized I am drawn to green. I never would have thought that, but the evidence was indisputable.

I know it is so hard to decide! Sometimes I feel like I am “design schizophrenic” because I like so many things! I like painted wood, and I like stained wood; I like red accents, and I like cool blues; I like neutral backgrounds, but then I love a room full of color! What’s a girl to do? 🙂

Some of the green looks like MMS’s Boxwood…I love it!! Already bought some just trying to figure out what I am going to “transform”….LOL Best of luck in going to meet your son….I am so very happy and anxious for you both!!

I looove green with neutrals! There are some beautiful floral fabrics with shades of greens/blues/tans/creams (I have two–one is the print MMS used in her family room–a deeper palette.) You could also find some great plaids in blues and greens I bet! Can you tell I am obsessed? You can do hits of red for the Fall/Winter and hits of green in the Spring/Summer if you can’t decide. 🙂

I do love the green. I love the red too. I’ve been doing red for the last 10 years, so I’ve been using more green here and there to change s things up. It’s peaceful and springy. I love it.

I dreamt about decorating with greens last night…and a table just like the one in that House Beautiful pic. Funny/weird!! Lots of green inspiration here.

I have that same Country Living bathroom on my Dreaming in Color Thursday – Green post at http://www.mbzinteriors.com/?p=3520 I even show some of my own bits of green in my own house too, including the table my husband painted.

The great news is that they actually compliment each other-do a little of both!!!! 🙂

Much to my family’s annoyance, I love darker shades of green AND red. I’m horrible at making decisions so I use both as accents. My children call it perpetual Christmas. It makes me happy so I don’t care. (And it’s not THAT bad!) 😀

Timely – I’m redoing the guest bath, and using the Hygge and West “Daydream” wallpaper in the grey and green colorway on the top of the walls. I never tire of green! Red is good, too 🙂

You’re so funny. 🙂 I love the dark green too. Some little pops of red also would really liven up the spaces. You know, like in a bouquet or something. Nothing too permanent! 🙂

Although… the green and red together WOULD look a bit Christmassy… Maybe save that for next winter. My favorite accent color right now is yellow. So, the Country Living kitchen table inspiration photo is my pick. Yellow tulips are my absolute favorite, and that would be perfect for spring. 🙂

I love your green choices. I guess I am kind of partial since my favorite color is GREEN anyway. Red is also a great color, but I can’t wait to see what you do with blue.
