Accent Tables Are My Favorite

Jul 16, 2014 By Layla

I’ve been refinishing the top of our coffee table this week…

Wood Conditioner | Coffee Table

Jacobean Stain

Jacobean Stain | Minwax

I’ve got a thing for accent tables. Sure, I love a nice sofa or chair, but it’s the tables next to them that really make my heart sing!

My friend Ashley, feels the same way…but lucky for her, she has a whole shop (Parish) to fill them with! 😀 I snapped some photos of my favorites when I was there a few months ago:

Side Tables | Parish Shoppe | Montgomery Alabama

Wood Side Tables | Parish Shoppe | Montgomery Alabama

Side Tables | Parish Shoppe | Montgomery Alabama | Wood | Concrete | Metal

Side Tables | Parish Shoppe in Montgomery Alabama

Side Tables | Parish Shoppe | Old Cloverdale Montgomery Alabama

She sent me home with the metal nesting tables in the photo below, and we’ve really enjoyed them!

Succulent in Silver | Nesting Side Tables | Parish Shoppe

That sweet little succulent came from another new favorite shop called Littleville Blue. They’re located in Cullman, Alabama and I just couldn’t leave the place without it the other day…

Succulent in Tarnished Silver with Stones

Stones + succulents + silver = Hey! Hey! You! You!….Get into my car! Who me? Yes you! Get into my car! 😀

I have a soft spot for succulents too! I got married 3 months ago and for centerpieces at our reception, I had tons of planted succulents in tarnished silver acting as planters of all shapes and sizes. They are sweet little plants and require such little maintenance!

    Love your little table!

    Excellent accent tables!!

I’ve got succulents in a drawer and love the way it looks. Who knew those little buggers were going to be the hot plant this year? 🙂

    Nice Billy Ocean reference!

Wheels on your coffee table is a great idea. I see a lot of coloring and lego activity there in the future : ) Creative use of that little silver compote by Littleville Blue. I checked out their facebook – love their style and name, but I didn’t see a reference to the meaning of their name. Just curious. Do you know?

I always like accent tables and have seen some cute ones. I like creative ones where someone has taken 2 things and blended them to make one item!
