Hello! It’s Wednesday! That means it’s time to share a few of the photos that stopped me in my scroll on Instagram this past week!
That. That is the kind of spot I’d like to sit in right now. Doesn’t it just sort of say that too? “Come here and sit down for a bit”. If you’re not following Erica, I can’t recommend her friendly feed high enough. It’s like chicken soup for the scrolling soul. 😉
Allie. Allie. Allie. One of my favorite Insta-friends and ALWAYS creating comfy, creative and calming spaces! Make sure you click through to her blog to see more of her incredible ideas: @Proverbs31Girl.com
Where do I even start with this one? The white wood walls and ceiling paired with the slightly darker trim? The painted wood floor? The pattern on the painted wood floor? The concrete countertops? The old butcher block island with the oversized basket underneath? The beautiful oven and metal straps on that eye-catching range hood? The chippy iron urn and cutting boards standing in the corner? The pops of green and the shapes of those leaves? The industrial style of the overhead lights? The simple shape of those wooden brackets holding those little wall shelves up? You get the point. 😉 And you can find more of Heather’s beautiful interiors here: HeatherChadduck.com
This account is SO fun to follow and this photo definitely stopped me in my scroll. The listing reads: “OWN YOUR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND, 75 minutes from NYC, off an idyllic Connecticut coast! One of the Thimble Islands, one-acre Belden Island offers a charming story book 4-bedroom cottage, fully furnished and ready to be enjoyed. This sanctuary summer home overlooks a rolling green lawn with irrigation, sandy beach, and private dock. The wrap-a-round covered porches give stunning 360 degree water views, and the interior offers classic, vintage wood floors and wainscotted walls & ceilings. Two stone fireplaces, country kitchen with a gas stove with griddle, and two refrigerators. Generator and propane, city water. Sale includes 2 acres of deeded adjacent shellfish beds. Nearby Branford station offers Amtrak and other rail service. The island is reached from the charming seaside village of Stony Creek, home to restaurants and other attractions.”
I’LL TAKE IT! 😀 Seriously though, here’s a link to the listing if you’d like to see the interior pics: Sotheby’s International Realty .
5. @KJP:
SWOON! You have to read the caption on that one too. It was written by the kind, creative, and incredibly talented man on the left. His name is Kiel James Patrick and he set up a surprise night “out” in their attic to celebrate he and his wife’s 18th anniversary. Here’s a link to their super fun site too: KielJamesPatrick.com
Happy Wednesday, y’all. I look forward to meeting up with you here again on Friday!
Layla
Thank you for bringing back the instagrams Wednesday’s.
You got it, Erin! Thank you for visiting this week! 😀
I tried to sign up but never received email confirmation. I checked spam also .
Hi Rebecca! What did you try to sign up for? I’m happy to help troubleshoot! 🙂
You always find such a great array of both pretty and fun things. Since you like old houses, you might like my instagram/blog. I feature neat homes on the market (including one on an island) and show how I would decorate them. I’m @ifitweremine.
Also, no worries if you don’t want to share it, but would you mind giving the name of your literary agent? I’m looking for someone that would be interested in a decorating caper type of novel. It’s kind of sweet and wholesome— like how your book is, I’m guessing.
Thanks as always for the inspiration!
Thank you, Vicki, I will definitely look you up on IG!
And I don’t know if I’m allowed to publicly share what agency we’re partnering with, but I will email you if they say it okay to share privately with you! A decorating caper sound fun!! 😀
I follow kjp on instagram. He posts the most amazing photos I have ever, ever seen. I know a lot of what you see on instagram isn’t real life. But if there’s just one person that is, I truly hope it’s him. Beautiful photos of a beautiful family. And lucky us that get to see them.
I agree! KJP’s pics *always* make me smile. 🙂
You are so stinking cute and I love your Home Goods videos. Well, actually everything you do. AND, is your skin just perfect or is it a make up secret?
You are so kind, Pat. Thank you! And my skin definitely isn’t perfect, but I haven’t spent a whole lot of time in the sun in my life, so maybe that has helped along the way? Anywho, thank you for being sweet. 🙂
