5 Instagram Photos That Stopped Me In My Tracks

Jul 12, 2016 By Layla

Hello! Each Wednesday I share some of the photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling Instagram the previous week. Here are this week’s pics!

1. @BellamyArt:

The Ice Plant in St. Augustine Florida | Restaurant | Antique Sink

What a cool antique sink at Ice Plant in St. Augustine, Florida! 😀

2. @RustAndHoney:

Rope Wall Sconce at RustAndHoney on Instagram

Fun fixture over at RustAndHoney.com!

3. @BeginningInTheMiddle:

BeginningInTheMiddle on Instagram | Knee Wall Ideas

How clever is that?! Bryan and Catherine added custom built-ins and mini barn doors to the wasted knee wall space. Genius!

4. @Selling.The.Fort:

Selling.The.Fort on Instagram | Store Display

Ummmm…who wants to meet me at Simple Things Furniture in Fort Worth just to sit and stare at this INCREDIBLE display in the middle of their store?! #swoon

5. @ThomasAndLane:

Thomas and Lane on Instagram | Windmill | Rustic Wood Shelf | Mantel

Must. Find. Old. Windmill. Blades!

PS- I’ve been tagging these round-ups on Instagram with the hashtag #InstaWednesdayRoundUp if you’d like to see them that way over there!

Before I read any captions, I thought “I KNOW that sink!” That’s just a short drive down the road from me. I bring all my guests to the Ice Plant…they give distillery tours and have a great bar. They are famous for the Florida Mule. Come visit me and I’ll take you there :).

Love these, especially the windmill! It’s funny the things you would’ve never thought of end up so cool looking.
PS- Congrats on Sonny’s progress (I’m an adoptive mom too ?)

I read a “how to” make your own old windmill on Craftberry Bush. I’m sure you and Kevin could do it! Here is a link for you:

I have lived in Fort Worth for 25 years and have never heard of Simply Things Furniture. Thanks for the tip! Another place you would love is one of my favorites….. http://www.oldhomesupply.net/

I live in ft worth and I love Simple Things Furniture. Its a pretty awesome store but very pricey!
Also Old Home Supply is awesome and has some incredible stuff!

Love these photos, especially the sink, which reminds me of a vintage porcelain washtub a friend of mine bought years ago that she fills with ice and drink when she throws a party. Perfect in every way….

Re: Windmills….I felt like I won the lottery the day I was browsing Craigslist and came upon an ad for a replica windmill about 24″ tall the seller said was made by his father. He was moving and getting rid of all the things he couldn’t take with him. $10!!!!! I love it more than anything I’ve ever purchased for my home. It sits proudly on my mantel where I stare at it constantly…. seriously… I am so lucky….

Must.Have.Windmill.Too! I have been trying to find one I can afford. I even thought of buying one of those little ones they sell at farm and home stores, and making it look old and weathered! But what to do with the base???
I will see about the DIY one too. Seriously drool over them ALL THE TIME!
All these instagram finds were great this week!

I’m pretty sure I just saw that windmill on decorsteals.com just a few weeks ago.

The windmill is a reproduction, I believe. Magnolia Market sells these as does a shop in Minnesota that I sell in called ‘Reclaiming Beautiful’ in Stillwater, MN.
The windmill makes a striking vignette, but the real deal are quite enormous. I plan to take a peak at the url’s that your readers shared and see what I find.
All 5 IG photos are stunning!
