Welcome back to my “Merry Mantel” decorating series! Today’s look is a themed around a beautiful piece of architectural salvage that my Great-Grandpa Irwin pulled from a condemned old church in Minnesota, a loooong time ago. Click the play button on the video below to watch…
Here’s a still shot of the finished product for those who can’t view the video:
A lot of folks have been asking where I got the garlands so I wanted to mention that I got them at Michaels. I love how soft their needles are, and I love that the branch parts are brown- just like they would be if they were real. Those are the kinds of things I look for when I’m “fauxliage” shopping. 🙂
I’ll be back tomorrow with look #4…it ended up being my favorite of the week!
XO,
PS- My videos are hosted on YouTube, so if you’re having trouble watching them on my blog, you can always view them on YouTube here: Merry Mantel Series

LOVE the window! Just my 5 cents worth, but I liked the garland without the embellishments better. xx

Thanks, Colette! I’m a big fan of “naked greenery” too! 😀 I’m trying to pack LOTS of ideas into this series though, so no nudity allowed in these vids. 😉
